besides slackriders, you can go supermoto.sg for motards..

or everything under the sun at Thumpertalk.com..

get a scrambler, if sick of dirt, change to motard wheelset or vice versa..

Thanks man. So a motard is like for street use, and a dirtbike is for the trails. But both are scramblers right? So I can call a motard a scrambler, but I can't call a dirtbike a motard.

my friend rode DRZ400SM... usually he had road tires on. but when we want to go out to ride dirt, he will change it to his off road wheel set. sometimes if it is too impromptu ride, he just go ride dirt on his road tires.

it will be challenging to ride with road tires on dirt but still can, depending on rider, expect ur rear to slide around as road tires doesn't much traction on dirt. my first time riding dirt was on my friend's drz400sm with road tires. it is still fun.

actually, some supermoto tracks incorporate dirt too. check out the video... it's like a hydrid.

haha yeah but must have abit of skill.. coz it will feel like punctured tyre hehe skid2.. wah u somemore vespa... SALUTE...

the vespa rear is really heavy. at some soft sand part or parts with high step, I had to get some assistance to get over it. LOL. but come to think about it, when u switch over to off road tyres and ride on dirt, you feel abit more confidence.

i always salute people who ride motard off road, like my late friend in my signature below. seriously, it is not easy.

This is wat i call PASSION in riding and motor world. :thumb:

IMHO Its the distance and places you been to with your belove 2 wheels than the speed you obtain to boast abt.

yep yep. passion.

getting to enjoy the journey, the process toward reaching your destination, and savouring every moment of the ride, this is what i enjoy about riding.

Hey TS, if you want to go long distance on your DRZ, also can. My late friend did that and even pillion his mother up to north thailand.

i am sure you will have a lot of fun with that bike. :)

thanks man..

to be frank, i am still inclined towards gsr400, due to the fact its meant for the street more.

i have been hearing feedback that the acceleration of drz is good, but once its reachs 90kmh. its time to slow down, not meant to travel at that speed in the first place.

can anyone verify?

after riding a S4, i changed to a DRZ.. I regretted not chosing DRZ in the first place..

Highspeeds riding in SG??

with DRZ, i got nice accleration, good FC.. I sacrifice with good top speed and vibrations..

i cruise expressways at 80kph.. with minimal vibrations.. i acclerate outta danger and overtake fast when i needed to to 100kph without any problems.. then cruise back at 80kph..

i've crash my DRZ 3 times on track and only changed my sliders..

if you cant be patient, or hate vibrations.. get a GSR..

if you love torque and good maintenance, get DRZ..

have seen my friend skid once on the road and another time on dirt. other than scratches here and there. nothing much happened to his bike. bike is very crash resistant. :thumb: on the other hand, he suffered from bad abrasions :(

like u see in the video i posted, after the pile up crash, the riders just pick up their bike, start and off they go.

glad that you found one khaki already...
