The LHS crackcase seems like a magnet area for trapping sand, anyone knows if there are any accessories to cover it up?

I saw that you have barend and axle sliders and crash bar installed, hope that should cover some damages.

Hopefully the plastics were not scratched?

Yup, crashbars saved the day.. Tarmac fall is really worse than on sand/mud..

Scratches on bared slider, hand guard, mirror, crashbar, rider and pillion foot pegs, side stand, main stand, shaft guard and my 2 weeks old Gobi top case..

Just my luck..

hi guys:),

Dont mind me interjecting,

I am really interested in the Super tenere however I'm a bit worried bout the seat height..

I,m a short 1.68 M..I'd like to know if there's anybody out there around my height or lower able to manhandle this beast..

Also, does Yamaha provide a customized lower seat like the Beemer does...

Thanks

I think my front forks are squeaking whenever going over bumps.

Not a very loud one, but definitely audible in low speed carpark ride.

Doesn't seems to leak oil though. Is it normal for a new bike?

Yup. It's normal. It's not squeaking, but more of the way the front fork works.

i did a mock up its about 3inch maybe cos mine is a junior top box..for whyzee's top box still have hope

Junior is wide, so it would have problem with top opening side panniers..

have you consider other side panniers..?

I'm now looking at Caribou sides and Junior top..

Anyone tried the shortening of the clutch switch trick?

Short mine for a day ride. Feels the lower gears at lower rpm

Much more power in acceleration now.

Tried that.. Made the ride hard to control for a smooth ride..

Took it out after a ride.. Make the ride felt like tyre panchek..

Best to go for the ECU mod for smooth accel..
