got my bike but the bike shop slow .... so my bike have not done paintjob ..... a bit ugly ar the somemore at my rxz head got crack like that due to machanic put dono where .... haiz ....... u want pics ... i'll show u pic later .... b4 paintjob .....

 

need to go kampong so need the bike asap .... next week maybe i send to shop paintjob ......

If u wanna know wats ur fuel consumption, just top up the tank to full. Ride until half tank or almost empty, then top up to full again.

Divide the mileage you covered by the litres you top up, you will get your fuel consumption.

Ver S full tank is 18L, so just multiply your mileage by 18. Simple as that. :)

 

Read somewhere if you ride at 60km'hr, 1 litre supposed to be ard 35Km.

But strange, the Spec 3 handbook says Spec 3 is 37 per Litre if u go at 60km/hr.

sori guys ..... it seems they did not do a proper job so i went back and pay them to redo it again .... hrm ..... at a lower price of coz .... coz now my rear looks short ...... hrm .....

first of all i wld like to say hi to all the non-vtec riders out here.... gd day to u all..

 

im riding a PB1 FP plate...living in Bukit Batok...

gt some queries lah...

 

1) wats with the tik-tik sound coming from my bike's engine?? wats the fault ah??

 

2) for the brake calipers, inside theres this 2 piston like metal that pushes the brake pads 2gether rite, mine is spoilt, due to wear n tear, how much to get it replaced???

 

3) wat is the best solution to solve my uneven brake disks?? other than get new ones...

 

4) can PB1 fix in the 3-point crash bar n belly pan??

 

5) where to get aftermarket rear suspensions?? brands available??

 

6) where to get ur chroming of parts done??

 

7) i understand that u shld chng ur EO every 5k, but how often do u change ur spark plug, oil filter, chain n sprocket, coolent??

 

8) where to change the bulbs for the speedometer n rpm face??

 

N for all these things asked, wats the expected money damage done individually??

 

Appreciate it if u guys can help mi out here...thnx...i very gundu regarding these things...

1) that's normal ..... all s4 got that sound ....

 

2) LAB got sell ... malaysia also got sell .... rm25 a pair .... singapore ... check the forum ...

 

3) u can't repair a wrap disk ... bo pian .... go buy new ones ...

 

4) yes ... for both ...

 

5) there's cheap ones and expensive ones ... usually s4 use expensive ones coz s4 heavy bike ... bitubo a good choice .... ohlins also ok ... do buy originals ...... no point buy cheap ones that has 2 be replaced over n over again ..... anyways if i'm not mistaken one of out members here is selling one .....

 

6) well ... bike shop ... go ask they do for a x price ar in singapore ... as for jb ... also can ... but u have 2 take the risk urself ... cheap does not mean good ... trust me ... i know .....

 

7) me ?? every 10 000 k i change eo n spark plug .... oil filter every 20 000 k ... chain n sprocket ... hrm that see the iten itself ... u take gd care of her then no need to change ar ... coolent that vary for every bike .... u shold check ur reaservoir ...

 

8) that one cheap lar .... any bike shop have ...

 

you want to change every thing at once ar ??!! this question i can't answer ... maybe 1 million dollar ..... wahahahaha ....joking ... once again every shop got diff price tag ... so go do ur window shopping ....

1st of all thnx to bro shahrul_azmil3...

 

1) when i ask my mech he said nd to chk the timing chain and valve...he said ard 200++ ...is that price considered ok??

 

2) bro, u sure that one cost ard 25 bucks...mayb u thought other part...or mayb i kena quote high price...hmmm...

 

3) this one i juz wanna chk wif u guys, the mech said nd to lay the disc (smoothen the surfaces with machine)...was quoted $45 for each disc... is this the correct pricing?? then he recommended to chng the barke pads 2gether also....

 

4) any shop recommendations??

 

5) wats the price range for these suspensions...i saw a GAZI one at $200+... i neva hrd dis brand b4...izit gd??

 

6) i noe bike shop lah bro, hahaha.... but sometimes these bike shops will send it to other places to chrome...i wanted to go staright to the chroming shops...anybody gt recommendation???

Intending to get a PB1 v soon

but i heard e fuel consumption of PB1 is worse than version S or R

is there any truth in this rumour?

 

i noticed that PB1 has no balancers visible...so isit in built then?

 

an FN plate for around 2.5k isit worth it?

 

btw why do u guys install e 3 pt crash bar?

i tried riding one wif that and i cant seem to grip e tank properly hehe

bgoy ... here's my reply

 

my uncle rides a pb1 and i ride a version S ... both rides got my name and his name in it .....

 

pb1 do have balancers ... every s4 have balancers ... pb1 is much more heavy on the handle ... good for touring ... fuel wise it totally the same as a version s n r .... it much more smooth ... belive it .... total smoothness .... i dun no y but version s n r a bit rough ....

 

Y we install a 3 point crash bar ?? more nicer i suppose ... i know feels a bit odd at first but as time goes by ... u get the hang of it ...

 

but if u like comfi ..... juz buy the 2 point crashbar will do ... pls do install one coz bike drop save from scratch the engine parts ....

i tink when u say pb1 is more heavy on the handle means e balancer is built into e handlebar right? cos i dun see any balancers sticking out at the edge of the handlebar like most bikes

 

yeah i tink i'll get a crashbar if i get s4 cos i can see its importance man

 

most s4s i see have a small crashbar juz at the front of the bike, those crash bars came with the bike i suppose

 

one last thing, when i started the PB1 at the shop, the response dosen seem smooth, as in when i throttle a bit, there's like a little bit of lag, is this normal?

but when i throttle a lot, there is no prob

is this normal?

maybe the settings not right or throttle cable or something bigger .... i have not face this problem so pls do ask around .....

 

it's been a long time since i look at my uncle's bike but what i know that s4 there's no build in balancers ... juz that the balancers are different from some models .... but all models do have balancers rest assured ..

 

non v tec s4 does not come with any crashbar ... u have to buy it ... if u are lucky u get it from the previous owner ....

 

bro ... don't rush buying a non v tec s4 ... coz non v tec usually old bike already .... do go see around other shops ...

 

anyways ... i dun think it's becoz of the balancers that makes the handle much more heavy ... i think it's made that way for that model ...

2 me stock balancers make to diff other then juz eliminate some vibration ...

 

cost of fq plate should not go higher then $3800 plus minus ..... so go do the maths .... cheap does not means better ... it will all rolls back to u on repairs .... but also expensive old bike does not mean good too ...

u still have to look out for wear n tear ....

 

paintwork wise .... if it's dull u could ask for free paintjob of ur choice ...

asphoon n m1 does give free paintjob for old dull bikes .... no black n white ...

 

most importantly check your

 

showa suspension

fork

3 brake disk

tyres (u can't ask for a new ones but u can opt to change tyre with the other s4 over there)

of coz the engine parts (this bring along more lau jio with u. i also dun know)

1) the tick2 sould when starting should have ... all bikes have ... it should disapper once it's hot ... if really ur timing chain n valve .. i think 200 ok ok ar ....

 

2) alamak bro ... sori ar ... i thought brake pad ... so this one i dun know

 

3) laying the disk meaning cutting some of it then = thinner disk ... better get new ones rite .....

 

4) Lim Ah Boy ... cheap2 ....

 

5) suspension wise ... hrm .. what i know here got 2 ppl selling thier used showa suspension for $280 below .... 2 me ... 2nd hand original expensive suspension much more better then new cheap suspension ...

 

6) wah ..... straight to the chroming shop meaning u got to strip down ur parts urself .... not a good idea .... if some parts lost ... how .?? $$ come out again .... but when i passing going to LAB .... there's one shop displaying lost of chrome car parts ... maybe they are showing that they do chroming ... ?? who knows ......

1) yup, the engine tik-tik sound will dissapear once warm up...

 

2) & 3) went to sanfu today to chk out this 2 stuff... the mech there told me no need lah...mine still gd cond...may b the previous shop wanna makan some of my $.... sial.....

 

4) bought my belly pan already... but the fella go n cut my left side... until not even with the right side... look f***ing funny... go there n ask for a chnge...made up my mind wanna fix it on my own... still searching for crash bar...
