as i said,in manual or in paper.. it states 18L include 3L res... so...???but u need to try out for urself... bring 1L of petrol with u when u go into reserve.. when ur tank totally dried, pour that 1 lit and go to nearest petrol kiosk and try it out lor...chain when too tight will oso make hell lots of noise...lube more often to dampen the noise.. and chain is best adjust when the rider is sitting on the bike and ask the mech to adjust for u...

Yest I checked my bike petrol finish before reserve is 319Km. is it normal? and how much distance will a reserve tank can bring me? coz if its 40KM that means my bike is eating alot of oil liao total 357km.

Before hiting reserve how may kilometer should it be? 370 or 396? coz if 22km/L then it will be 396km for 18l petrol.

Means before reserve, my bike eating 17.72km/L at 319km.

Can i modified the caburetor to make its fuel consumption lesser?

if i m nt wrong.... 'jetting' is referring to changing of e needle setting n fuel outlet pin size in e carb... thus allowing more/less fuel to enter e carb. but pls bear in mind... more fuel does mean to pow, cos more fuel will oso require more air in e carb for better conbustion.....

i thk wat sino74 means is replacing e fuel stoppers pins in e carb....

correct mi if im wrong....

yes! totally correct! when the ratio exceed a certain amount, there will not be any combustion. it has been proven by experiment when i went to the 1day maintenance course conducted at bike n scooter. a lot of good to know info.

if u are interested in going, call them. but need a class size of 8. call them ask for apollo. very friend guy. the course is conducted by himself and his bro max who went for courses overseas.

i shall not reveal too much info as if i were to do so then they would really make losses le... but i really am glad that i attended the course... althou i know a bit of things on the bike engine and stuff... but after i went to the course i really think its worth it.

just my .05 cents worth of sharing here.

here is their site http://bikenscooter.com/

not much details is in the 1day maintenance course thou... but it really give u quite a lot need to know info like how diff engine works, fuel, and stuff like that. all is the need to know basis. for self maintenance, it will be cover in the full course. after my studies, i will be attend it but its like a yr from now... it cost bout $480 for the full AMMC.

they also have some products on sale in the shop. one is the surge protector which will get killed by any surge current instead of the electrical components in the bike. another is the charging indicator. which acts as a volt meter. instead of no... its have 3 led bulb. its small and water proved. i will upload the details when it is being launched. i am waiting to install on my bike.

and if u all want to order the products if u are interested, i can help u all get. for the 1day maintenance course, i would suggest maybe sino 74 might wan to start by putting a list for pple interested.

as i said i feel the course is indeed benificial for me is my own opinion pls.

but for those who are new to bikes, i think this 1day course is really good.

just to add on..... for the surge proctor, i have shared with quite a no of bikers and they feel that bikes do not need it.. but for me its a "protection" just in case of there is a surge as it will cost a lot more to replace the electrical stuff than just that... its up to individual. but i feel this surge protector will be good for fuel injector bikes as the there is much more electrical system in the bike. for S4, i think would be the CDI (dunno if i am using the right term)? and 4 the vtecs would also include the meters?

just my sharing here.. i dunno if i am giving any wrong info... so pls take note that my sharing might not be correct... its still better to check with the specialist which do not happen to be me... i am just a novice...

hi guys,

i had the opportunity to try my top speed up north twice in the last week.

The first time i was able to hit ard 175~180km/h awhile before wind turbulence at my head caused me to ease up on the throttle, but at that time i had not throttled fully yet and still feel that i can go faster.

For the second time rd, i was not able to hit more than 165km/h.

the riding pattern for these two attempts are significantly diff in that during the first attempt, i sorta rev through the gears, while in the second attempt i build up my speed slowly from the last two gears. i.e. picked up from 110km/h at gear 4.

but by using the 2nd method, i was unable to go any faster (>165km/h) even when i maintained at max throttle for ~30seconds.

just want to ask ard fellow ver s riders if it is true that we would not be able to achieve topspeed if we dun rev throughout the gears? i.e. redline the rpm at every gear.

i have a nagging feeling that something is wrong with my top end,

so want to find out if ver s is able to gradually hit >175km/h using slow pickup from last gear.

Need to asked you expert people some questions.

1) Where to respray body for my S4 VS. my color is silver grey but I want to change it to Blue silver Spec 3 design. how much is it?

2)How much is it to add bracket at the rear suspension?(to make it higher) I was quote $32 at bukit Merah shop.

3)I read at the components thread that re-pressing of rims cost abt $100. My favorite mechanic quote me ard $50-60. is it worth it?

Yesterday I change EO & OF at my favorite mechanic shop (I forgot the EO name) but its a Semi-Syn + OF total $42. Can feel my bike change mood already from Ah kua to Ah beng sound. but the Engine seems to heat more.
