Hey i got a question... My fuel indicator points in the reserve zone, but my fuel "tap" is still not switched to reserved yet. So i'm wondering if something is wrong with the fuel indicator? Or is it just originally inaccurate?

it's normal..

usually, when ur needle points at the end of the reserve, u can still travel about 5 to 10km before u need to turn the fuel **** to reserve..

when im negotiating a bend at high speed *like doing it at 150km/hr*, my handlebar starts to be like abit unstable.

:giddy: :giddy: :giddy: ...:faint:

Anyway..when handle shaked like you described...obviously...there is a "left" and "right" weight countering 'problem'. Could be tires uneven wear, fork oil not equal in vicosity or level and easily affected by flexing of lower fork..and like Hondaman said..cone bearing or wheel axle bearings. I'm not leaving out wheel balancing. At high speed..while your back wheel is churning up power to traction..your fron tend to 'float' in every revolution and at the same time cornering..there's a lot going on..so careful.

Get Rossi bike and his personal training net time...may be its safer..your's is a production road bike.

Stupid Hurts!.:giddy:Speed doesn't kill, mistakes does :faint:

BEER!...it's cheaper than fuel now! DRINK!..DON'T RIDE!

The fuel jet (needle) in your carburettors may have been changed or at a wrong setting. You'll need to open up the carburettors to determine this.

Expensive 'venture' and may turn out nough and waste $$s! :giddy:...doesn't make sense either!

dun jump down to conclusion of fuel jet, find out through those small issue 1st like tyre, chain (front n rear spocket check is it stock) and tuning .. ver few pple will touch fuel jet wan .. y they touch the fuel jet while their bike are stock ?

Wah!...getting wiser every now an dthen mannn! :thumb: Better listen to him guys...his was doing 16/17...now as good as up to 24 km/ltr :cheeky:

In view that it is a Spec 1 model, I believe he is not the first owner. So, we don't know what the previous owner(s) would have done already.

I'm suspecting the fuel jet (needle) because I had experienced it myself first hand. I used to have the RG150. Once, I complained to the mechanic that it was difficult to start in the morning. In the end, he adjusted 1 notch higher on my fuel jet (needle). No doubt the morning starting improved but my fuel consumption immediately went up by 10%. I was also very surprised because it was only 1 notch higher. Since it's only a single carburettor model, I then readjusted it back by myself and the fuel consumption returned to normal again. I'll just have to use choke more often in the morning then.

Your RG150 experience cannot be compared here the way I see it. One carb and 4 carbs is a total different ball game. You can't be moving all the needle up.

Your case could have been easily solve by tunning the air pilot screw (assuming your air filter is clean and standard) lower slightly and increase your fuel jet screw higher to a compromise...yes..tunning according to your bike condition at that time.

the mechanic was notsolving your problem but rather his..moving the notch up was just a volumetric fuel solution..of cost fc goes up.
