If your back suspension already maxs in adjustment or you see the chrome rod between the spring all shiny all the way down..it goes to say taht your nitro gas in the canister has propably reach low level liao. If you see oil..you likely would have to do a "rebuild" job..not "service".

Thanks Ah Pek for answering my questions. Hmmm, then i'm just wondering how do i adjust the back suspension? I realise the toolkit that's suppose to be in the bike is missing

guys. when im negotiating a bend at high speed *like doing it at 150km/hr*, my handlebar starts to be like abit unstable. feel like can buang anytime. is it the surface of the road? or is it my shocks or balancer?

I'd rather get a Leo Vince than a Louis Vuitton.

Negotiate a bend at 150km/h?!?! Bro.. Try to tone down your Rossi-style of riding man. Anyway, it could be your forks. If you notice on Ah Pek's bike, he uses a fork clamp, which I believe is used to stabilise the fork at high speed corners such as these. It's also partly due to shocks also.

Anyways, this is the reason why sportsbikes use monoshocks instead of dual-shocks like the S4. Monoshocks offer unparalleled stability in corners.

Bro, how can a Spec 1 not have VTEC? Its either you have it or you don't.. If you don't, means you're either riding a Ver S, Ver R or PB1.

Anyways, 15km/l is quite low for an S4, regardless of VTEC or not. There are lots of things you can do.. Grounding, additives, change of riding style. It's been discussed a lot of times before.. :thumb:

BBDC instructor once told me that bbdc's s4 are direct imported from japan, it is like a spec 1 without vtec. dunno true or not.

The fuel jet (needle) in your carburettors may have been changed or at a wrong setting. You'll need to open up the carburettors to determine this.

dun jump down to conclusion of fuel jet, find out through those small issue 1st like tyre, chain (front n rear spocket check is it stock) and tuning .. ver few pple will touch fuel jet wan .. y they touch the fuel jet while their bike are stock ?

Factors affecting FC:

1. Tire Pressure

2. Traffic Condition

3. Weight of load on bike including riders weight (pillion, box, etc)

4. Rider's style of riding (aggressive pickup + hard braking, gentle pickup + reacting to red light earlier etc)

5. Size and type of tyre (over-sized?, hard or soft compound)

6. Conditions of the bike (spark plug, tyre, suspension, etc)

7. Design of bike (Designed for performance or economy)

8. Performance modifications to bike

9. etc

Try evaluate these points to see how they affect your current fc and then improve from there. :cheeky:

As what I know the Vtec 1 design with no Vtec is actually Ver S but tuned-up. Simply to say its more POWERFUL.

As what I know, BBDC & CICSO use it ah.

In view that it is a Spec 1 model, I believe he is not the first owner. So, we don't know what the previous owner(s) would have done already.

I'm suspecting the fuel jet (needle) because I had experienced it myself first hand. I used to have the RG150. Once, I complained to the mechanic that it was difficult to start in the morning. In the end, he adjusted 1 notch higher on my fuel jet (needle). No doubt the morning starting improved but my fuel consumption immediately went up by 10%. I was also very surprised because it was only 1 notch higher. Since it's only a single carburettor model, I then readjusted it back by myself and the fuel consumption returned to normal again. I'll just have to use choke more often in the morning then.

Hey i got a question... My fuel indicator points in the reserve zone, but my fuel "tap" is still not switched to reserved yet. So i'm wondering if something is wrong with the fuel indicator? Or is it just originally inaccurate?

yes u r rite .. but if he jump to the conclusion tt is fuel jet needle got problem den he go fix den problem still there u are wasting of money .. so find the problem by the least amount of money 1st .. but normally the problem i find is tuning but is IMHO .. mayb his tuning is on the higher ratio which will provide him better pick up .. n from him complaining abt his fuel consumption i believe that he wan to spend the least amount money on his bike to save up money for others stuff..
