hi all.. can i juz ask when does the valve open for pb1?? is it normal that i get 19-21km/l when i normally cruise at 6-6.5k rpm(which is around 100-110 km/h)??

"valve open.."..????..as with Vtec S4? PB1 and Ver R/S no such thing. All 16 valves are used all the time..8 inlet and 8 outlet.

"get 19-21km/l when i normally cruise at 6-6.5k rpm(which is around 100-110 km/h).." No such fixed documentation.

LOL!...no lah..what it means is its all "variable"..depending on riding style of each individual to condition of each bike. In short, no fixed rules but generally a 'reference'.

Hi guys, just curious if Project Big can change exhaust? I am thinking of getting a nicer looking exhaust rather than the stock one but it depends on whether its worth to do so.

alrite.. thanks ah pek for sharing..

Just note that as the bike gets older, you loose compression (wear of the cylinder wall)..so nothing stay the same always. Only solution to get back this compression is to use CLS bonding..a premix product to your eo..like repair back the wall thickness like that.

hw abt STP,usually saw alot of their product in supermarket and petrol station, but i check their website, their STP Super Concentrated Fuel Injector Cleaner seems to add into the engine oil,nt mix into the petrol.but their STP Fuel Injector & Carburetor Treatment is add into petrol

Better read properly again. Asked yourself..how does angine oil ever get into your carbs?..injector refers to jet nozzle in your carbs. The answer is..it's added to the fuel.

If you do what you read, your engine is gonna jam sooner and you piston conrod gonna bend due to hydraulic action *diluted eo" in your cyclinder chamber. You asking for BIG BIG trouble.

ah pek wat do tink of the STP Octane Booster 2-in-1 formula boosts octane and cleans fuel intake system to restore lost performance

Don't waste your $$s on this product. Go get Liquid Moly valve cleaner. You don't need octane booster..you be better off with V-power which is also not necessary. S4 compression ratio at about 1:11..grade ron 95 is good enough..you don't get any extra "chiong" performance by increasing the ron to 98 or even up to 102 (all this I tried).

Go get Liquid Moly valve cleanser..you try then you know :thumb:

If you are referring to fork stanchion (upper fork slide piece), can go do a bend alignment..less than half a day job...better than buy a new one at $180+.

If I shift "early" I mean I shift on low rpm around 2,500.

Shifting from 1st gear to 2nd gear on low rpm is ok, I have no problem. But if I shift from 1st gear to 2nd gear with high rpm that is where the problem happens, I mentioned on my previous post. So what I do is I shift from 1st gear to 2nd gear on low rpm around 2,500. When I am already on 2nd gear this is where I let my rpm climb because here I can shift with no problem on even high rpms.

I hope I explained well SparkerS1.

Ah Pek ,,.... like this guy, happen to me my bike also...shifting while high rpm..

I will let u ride this weeken.. may b my riding style lor.. :D ha ha ..

For those who just got their bike and is wondering how come when our bike reaches the rpm of 6-6.5k and there is a sudden power surge.

That is called power band.

As mentioned by Ah pek, our bikes(pb1, ver.s, ver.r) run on 16 valves ALL THE TIME.

So we dont have any vtecs. Vtecs are running on 8 valves b4 the power band and when it reaches the power band,

it opens up another 8 more valves thus alot of people have this misconception that Vtec bikes are more "powerful".

1) Service...not service, "refurbished"..$240, both with free spring rebound spacer..last the next 8 years or so. Teck Thye

2) Buy 2nd hand. Lets say 4-8yrs old showa rear shock..risk taken if the SHOWA is as bad as yours in 1 year time. 6-8 years shock is as bad as coming close for refurbishing.

3) Buy new one. Anyway i'm low on buget...no budget and you asked this question? :faint:

Haha... Low budget but juz wan to c ppls idea.:cheeky: Thinking of servicing too but worried it will not last long like lasted 1-2yrs only. Is it necessary to change the springs also?:pity:

I mentioned "free rebound spring spacer"..that's as good as having a new spring. But you got $$s..then buy if you like.

Thanks alot AhPek:thumb:. Wil consider refurbishment for my rear shock then! Maybe sending to BikeLab or UniqueMotorsport. I have no clue where is Teck Thye Motor if want to go there!:cheeky:
