Pek, that time you say after riding to see pump is it working, we need to dip our finger inside the reserve coolant right>? So, what temperature should we feel? warm or hot?About 40 deg?

For Ver S, the gas tank is 18 litres right? usually we got how many litres of reserve? means move till bike almost die off and we turn the knob to reserve at the left side bottom? Somehow the fuel gauge touching the square red reserve, is it on the reserve yet? as i have not turn the knob./

Reserve is supposing 3 litres..so genically..you still can run around for the next 60+km looking for akiosk. As for the gauge, its just a warning reference that its about into reserve.

so for your ver s, usually you will pump petrol when mileage click 320km?? what will be the symptom when is time to turn the knob for reserve? will it sudden cut off the bike in the middle of xpressway ? worried crop up and stuck in 1st lane with engine die off...

It is time to turn to RESERVE when:

1)Bike starts to knock

2)Bike powerless when accelerate

3)Engine stall and cannot start

:thumb:

yeah will just stall no matter where you are.

so if you are worried you might be stucked at lane 1,just prevent urself in the lane when you know ur petrol is finishing.haha:angel:

Dear Ah Pek,

Got question to ask you again.

I understand you have a procedure to use silicon grease to make the engine from dull dull black black to shiny shiny.

Can let me know how to do it?

Thank you.

haiz, reading about overheating I'm being paranoid now. i used to have those problems on my version S.

Feeling hot water on legs, worst part is when my radiator shoot out coolant! dam jialat ar, sent to a bike shop i used to trust. I don't think they did a good job cos I'm feel my bike easily heat up but the light indicator never light up.

Now i travel short distance my radiator fan will switch on. Hayah, I kena slaughter already.

Paid 1k plus or 2k cant realy remember, for a "good 2nd hand block"(they claim) new radiator but looks like they just paste a silicon to cover the holes on both sides of the block. Kena cheated once and i never went to that shop again. Now new problem came up, i will hear a knocking sound during a cold start up. after my engine heated up about 5mins the sound is gone.

Any way ah pek are you selling the green oil or there is a guy at MO forum?

I've always wanted to meet up with you guys but I'm always caught up with some thing.

One fine day we'll meet.

Hmmm...explain?..did that a few times already and may be you track a few page back..there is something to it about this EPS thing. Many had installed already..it does works and may appear transparent to you after you get use to it..but take it off and you can feel the difference. But if your grounding is not mine..I likely would not recommend it to you.

EPS is not a so call "voltage stabliser" (there is no voltage to stabliser on a bike...home and car hi-fi system got ) or "Impedance Stabliser" (bike don't have any thing that has resistance matching between two components..hi-fi speaker system got ) or whatever its call beside a "CCA booster" (Cold CCranking Ampheres). If I have a name for it..I'll call it "Current Load Stabliser" but too bad I'm not an inventor.

You come one Sunday..may be those guys who installed and know how and why it works can explain over coffee. A few page back...got interested company talk and asked so much..give them appointment after they finally pm me to meet up for them to see the EPS and opportunity to sell oso never borther to respond. Anyway they have their own product which never works for me (go figure)..and even heard of it melting. Not bad mouthing but speaking the truth from ppl that I've serviced here.

"wat other things i need for my bike to keep it tip top? and wats the use of valve cleaner or watsoever its call"

Nothing else really..just keepp using the right grade of eo and X-1R and check your coolant system that its working. Oso be aware of imitation branded name coolant.

Valve cleaner and greenoil are used only after the peak of your bike performance has drop..not something that you ALWAYS must use.

Dimac...check all my post..somewhere in the jungle of it..there are all the answer you need..I can't now and then type and retype..hope you understand.:sian:

i know, i read the previos post.. dont really understand it better bout the greenoil thingy..

btw, this past 2 days i felt like my bike lose power.. y ah? is it becoz my sprocket are almost sharp dats y performance drop? or spark plug wore off? been using it bout 6k..

Im loving every moment with my LV.

I stay in the west too, maybe we can meet up tgtr to go down when they have meet ups..

too bad about u kanna chop, never know what bikeshops do anyway, they can say 1 and do another..

anyway i have similar problems, my bike's engine was leaking coolant after awhile, went to ahpek for help and he put in some sealant and also washed ur system, now my leak has become lesser, just stains instead of leaking on the engine, and hope it will stabilise and im still monitoring it.. theres a few other guys that used this method and works fine.

for the green oil, ahpek is helping us get at cheaper price coz he buy in bulk himself also, however there is also another MO in the forum which ahpek is not related to..

Cheers!

what your mileage clock so far before reserve really kick in?? means to turn the knob to reserve at your left

think can vary all the way from 250 to 300(or more) before reserve...

im still new but as others had mentioned, it depends on how u ride, and ur bike's settings..

different bike has different.. some possible factors i think are:

-carb (service?)

-sprocket / chain

-how u whack

-where u ride (eway or city)

correct me if im wrong tho!

anyway, anyone knows how much and how long it cost to respray rims? thinking of spraying mine, now quite dull.. hehe

There is no such fixed mileage lah but around there when you get to know your bike mileage when you travel the same daily. The bike normally jerks a bit when you throttle and that's what Hanxx meant by "knock".

Regarless, if you are filled with anxiety and too much of anticipation..jsut switch over lor..knowing what mileage heat before actually reserve doesn't matter..ur total mileage divided by the litres you pump comes to the same for your bike FC calculation.

Its never the same everytime for anyone lah. Taffic situation and ride start/stop changes everytime..how to have fixed value. You may have 360km for one full tank and the next full tank..you race to Malacca..you realised that it's only 260km reserve liao..got my meaning?

Could be anything. Worn sprocket does not affect power lah..spark plug may be. What about ur tyre pressure?

tyre pressure seems to be ok.. been riding it everyday so i doubt air will run out.. but ppl say spark plug can last a long long time.. maybe i try pumping air 1st..

Sometime the tyre air valves can leak. Put some saliva on your finger and smear it over the valves opening..see if its "bubbling"..if got, means you valves inner stalk is loos or faulty liao.

Have your trye at 250 and back 270 and see how it rolls.
