i veri the noob...scared open the unit and cannot close back...electrical contact cleaner=wd-40?

btw where did you get the part?

i think most hardware shops sell electrical contact cleaner. it's very easy to open - just 2 screws - but be careful not to let anything roll out & get lost. i asked ah fook to order the part for me. any mech shld be able to do the same for you.

Hello Merry Xmas to all!!

I just bought a S4 VerS, will be riding in 2 weeks. I hope to learn from the "old birds" about how to maintain the bike. When I have money I'll try Ah pek's oil :thumb: maybe can learn from him oso :p

hi ah pek, the other time you said my fuel switch to turn to reserve was not working properly - actually how to tell whether it's not working? cos i switched the fuel to off then removed my tank today but no petrol came out when i plucked out the tube connected to the switch.

That's bekuz it is off...on it and see how..flow right?..that mean your diaphgram is screwed. If you can live with it..its ok, just turn it to off everytime when you wanna take it out.

It has something to do with the hydraulic fluid in action when you squeeze the level..quite normal..after awhile for a period of time, it'll go off. Nothing you can do..even so you bleed..sometime it do comes back. Live with it. One of those things that I shall say..."its like that".:sian:

More likely cam chain or the cam chain tensioner problem. Keep us posted so we all learn.
