hi ah pek,need some help here.

when bike is idling and rev,theres white smoke coming out from my exhaust.

 

however,when i asked the shop who overhauled my bike for me,he said its ok bcos he put in more eo than usual,after some time the smoke will go away.isit true?can trust?

 

anyway,gasket not leaking EO.

Hi ah pek, you cleaned my coolant the other time and now I want to do your grounding and maybe fix a voltmeter to my verS. Thinking of this weekend. Can PM me the cost so that I can start skipping breakfast for the $$. :)

 

Also considering about the EPS. can PM the cost too? Thanks!

 

Also, been trawling through the entire 200+ pages worth of discussions in this thread. People have been talking about the hole in the engine block leaking coolant. I think mine is not leaking coolant, but something sticky. Maybe EO ??

White smoke is sign of engine oil getting into the combustion chamber. If he put some in the upper cylinder wall the first time just to play safe for the new oil ring and compression ring of the piston set of rings, I understand..but more oil, I never heard off. Doing so is forcing more oil under pressure to sip thru..and this case may be not.

 

But after some time the smoke goes away, its okay and he may be right..but if you are riding and white smoke keeps streaming out like a insecticide fogger..better go back to him.

Eh seriously..its okay to wait for my stuff. Better eat well and breakfast is most important..most ppl skipped lunch.

 

Anyway..will let you know the cost. As for the volter meter..no problem fixing for you but you have to get your own and also mounting hosuing etc. Go get from Johore some place a brand make call "Racing Boy"...looks pretty neat on our non Vtec. Check with Huatster888...he got it for me.

 

Can't tell what it is..coolant or eo..have to see.

"EPS"..it stands for "Efficint Power System" a Power Charger Product that aids the battery to provide overall elctrical load which the battery can't handle without sacrificing hi end performance. Will explain if you can meet up someday at Teck Ghee Kopetiam session. :sian:

Congratulation! Your 1st PRIORITIES is to check your coolant system..especially coolant level in reserve top up tank and hoses for sign of internal rusting. Also the engine oil (eo) and spark plus current status..oso all brake pads and bearings like steering cone band axles bearing.and last but not least..your tyres..are they safe to use in their current condition?..before wasting $$$S on unnecessary 'comestic' for the bike..like "belly pan"...what for? :sian:

 

Hope its not an accident bike though...why no crash bar?

Front bearing : Find a way to raise the front wheel..grab the two fork lower section and rock back and fore. If got slight movement..its getting bad. Can also spin the front wheel and touch either fork..feel for "grinding" vibration..if there's, bearing Ker_Liao.

 

Back Wheel bearing : Raise the hind wheel and grab the tire and shake it left and right...got movement..Wan_Tann liao.:sian:

okay . thks alot senior :thumb: anyway i jus discover something to prove tht im stupid and careless. my back gantong rabak liao, rusty n right one is crooked. and im devastated liao. any brother or sister got extra unuse back gantong in workable condition can sell me ? i asked mechanic at bikeshop, even chiong one need 280bucks :(

hi all... i juz wanna ask wats the best tyres recommended for ver s? im staying in the east and currently werking in tuas area,so need something dats longer lasting... plz advise... tanx in advance... =)

If its original SHOWA..you are better off having it rebuild at Teck Thy at No.12 Bradell Road..look for David. Cost $240.

I recommend Dunlope arrow Max GT 501. Go for 140 behind, don't install 150. Cost $200-$210 a set.
