Apologies OOT.

Does any metal fabrication shop or scrapyard take in car exhaust pipe in exchange for cash.

I believe the previous owner modd his car kept it at the water/eletricity gauge meter compartment just ouside my house. Tried to contact him but unsucessful.

Any bros can advice?

hi guys, sadness. my rpm meter is not working anymore. previously, still will move abit, but since yesterday, it is totally a goner.

The engine block 'hole' is leaking coolant again. One day I see like got some dried stain around th engine block hole so i thought coolant leak. So I itchy finger take twig and poke poke, then maybe poke too deep and black liquid started to flow out.

Any thing can be done for the RPM meter apart from chaning the meter?

what does the wash and polish actually do? SS header is the 4 metal piece connecting to the endcan right? so does that mean the header will look as good as new after the wash?

i think you can just change the cable. it must have snapped so that's why no reading.

hw abt u ask around in singaporecarsforum.com? maybe can sell and get decent money for it.

btw, how much fuel can a Ver S hold? and how many in reserve? just now went JB to top up, managed to top up only about almost 14l. anyway, my FC is at 22.4km/l. is that high or low for a Ver S?

Ahpek, my bike when reach 4.5k rpm the vibration through the handlebars very strong. Can heard my IU unit plastic cover buzzing. Anyway to dampen or eliminate these vibrations? The way i feel, even if add a heavy balancer also wont help much.

Cant be bearings, even when stationary and rev. can feel the vibrations.

firefox87: I think the RPM meter doesn't run onthe conventional cable but on some electical type of wiring. Ver S tank is 18L (15L + 3L reserve).

Ah pek: are you free this sunday? Can help me look at my RPM meter and the leaking engine block?

Do a retighting on all your engine mounting bolts and nuts. Need to go mototiam (see if Ah Foo can help) because the air compressor box spanner tools are needed.

Hmm alright, I'll come on a day where I can flush my coolant too. After that go to ahfook check. Thanks Ahpek!

might be the point which is connected to ur engine mounting nut,to play safe, tighten all the nuts

Hmm it make sense actually, Ill tighten all the crashbar nuts and see.

Thank you bro!

A friend of mine did that, had a hard fall. And the engine case hit the corner of the kerb and cracked :giddy:

hi ah pek, not sure if you remember me - you helped me to do grounding, eo + x1r, coolant change, lights for rpm/speedo assembly & headlight/fan switch many months ago. i'm riding the 50th anniversary ver s with the red stripes.

i've not been riding very frequently since then as i've been overseas quite a while & mostly drive when in sg. so i thought i'd sell this bike & get a class 2 tourer - probably a bmw or fz1. it's a half-hearted sale as i really like the bike a lot & have taken extremely good care of it, but @ the same time it's a big waste as it's parked in underground car park & covered (scared dusty) & only comes out once 1.5 wks or so. but i think the bike deserves an owner who will really use it properly.

anyway, do you know of anyone who's looking for a 50th anniversary ver s in particular? i guess i won't sell it below $4.5k seeing as i've put so much into the bike, so if i don't get any good offers i'll just keep it covered in my car park.

i remembered you said to let you know if i was selling cos you wanted my seng kwang crash bars, right? you also mentioned that you wanted the left/right switch assemblies on the handlebar? are you still keen on the parts?

i'll post more details abt the bike here later on, but bike is basically 100% stock.
