hi Bros,

 

i am deciciding to change my stock handle bar to a tag metal bar... i know the wire is not long enough.. any bro have change it before?? how does it feel? btw.. if fix tag metal bar, will not have the balancer... will it become very unstable??

bro it depends it ur block is cracked then will it cost a bomb....but if only gasket leaking....then maybe a few hundred..... chk with napz last time he do top block servicing...

For me is not the gasket. The mechanic check already. Have to change the top block. I tried looking for a 2nd hand block but cannot find. New block i tink gonna be expensive..

i think even if you change to 2nd hand block, it will not guarantee that the block will not leak coolant again. Same model, same problem.

 

One good way to prevent the block from leaking coolant is to change the coolant every few months. When ur coolant level is not enough, the engine gets hotter and the block expand thus ur coolant leak. So u must ensure ur coolant is enough always to keep ur block happy.

 

btw, leaking EO and leaking coolant is different..

koyak because of this=====>sure leads to piston jam!

which will cost alot expensive(set 2k roughly)

taken frm a FQ-plate VER s..collect personally with my mech =)

now my bike lighter,problem free except fer normal wear and tear la..

$700(labour,gaskets set not cheap,tubes,top head cylinder-16shims all in,eo,coolant)

he even check my block,piston,piston ring fer me(still damn healthy)

its the best deal i get after 28 shops of recce

(im only 19 n schling la so i need to do this fer cheaper deals)haha

 

now never regretted since i tot of selling mine cuz of

this prob but once we settle it,u will love it fer sure!

fer 1st hand was quoted $1280 without the shim,etc

but 2ns hand diff shop,diff pricing see how much they tok u

usually is 450-550

but i got mine 300plus+gasket set+black tubing and labour(tedious job uh)

jus to share :engine oil leak from block due to worn gasket.(estimate cost replaced n labour $200-$300)

: coolant leak from block leads to CRACKED block.(estimate cost replace n labour $1K- $2K)

hi every1 i have is pro wif my ver R, after changing a aftermarket end can when i reach 100km/h can feel a lose of power and i have to open up the oil a lot more to get it more the 100k/h. wat is wrong huh? is it becase i nv tune my bike after the end can install or is my air filter that casue the pro?? any1 have is pro too? :cheeky:

er... i used yoshi S.S and now firespec, still the same leh. maybe u got used to the bike thats why u tink its lagging in power. haha

i dun tink so... casue my bike is really ok be4 changing firespec. maybe it the air filter cause the power lose is quite big from 0-100 it normal but from 100 and above it start to get weaker

Overhaul very difficult to judge costing. range from 800 to 1.5K above.

 

I doing mine PB1 est 1.5K plus rewiring to ver S wiring.

 

which shop to overhaul will all depend on u. who u trust leave there over nite for few days to a week

anybody tried fixing a vtec header to their non-vtec bikes?? juz curious to noe if it fits... or any non-vtec using aftermarket full sys??? if tat fits, sure fits for a vtec header... thanx bro !!!
