".bike doesnt come wif a metal tube connected to the fuel cock "...what's that mannn?..never heard of it..don't have means problem liao..LOL!

Why u wanna see?...the idea is not to touch or adjust anyting inside as per factory set up or risk of daming it. Definitely there are wear marks as items like the needle jetting pins and floating pins are use items. Unless you wanna to change them..then u do. As for the rubber..see if there is any harding and cracks on the surface outside. Anyway..since ur bike never stall...I guess u better not do anything else unless u wanna change parts in ur carbs..spend more $$$s.

don frighten me wor . ah pek... if really don have the thing the mech say, it should be ok since i have been riding it for few yrs before this tank cleaning...then ah pek, this sat free to help me wif the carb cleaning?

now onli travel 150km plus.. still monitoring if stalling occurs or nt

There is no "by right or by wrong"..its how the bike is used in different environment. Coolant which has a certain content percentage of water (distilled or deionsed) and water does evaporates. If u r caught in a jam or rightjust as hard..heats builds up and while coolant is cooling it at the engine block..that's where its 'used' up and level does drop..in short, its normal.

As for ur muddy looks in colour..time to have a clean flush..that's sign of rust forming in ur radiator or the hose has rus formation under it. Rusting starts in the radiator when tap water is used.

sad.. just changed the radiator not long ago.. I did saw them flushing the radiator with water and I suspect that it should be tap water. Time to go back to shop to ask them to check it out I guess..

Ahpek..my coolant at the coolant reservoir has been drying up quite fast recently. Noticed one day that after topping up the reservoir than ride for a while n parked, the coolant was leaking out from the small hole at the side of the engine block. Do u know what may the cause of it and what is the solutions to remedy it? The cheaper the better :cheeky:

Any advice?

If its bleeding out not too badly..there is still hope by using sealant coolant as a temporary solution but normally ended up quite permernantly too. I know of mototiam charging up to $300+ to do that and have to leave ur bike there for days. However this can be done in less than 45 mins and at much cheaper rate. Most mototiam would suggest the engine block to be replaced with a 2nd unit without gaurantee and can cost up to $900+. Has to be done soonest..otherwise crack may get larger when the engine gets too hot due to lack of cooling from ur coolant system.

If u need help can pm me.

There may be rust left from the rubber hoses or reseve tank and oso the coolant exchange tubing between the reserve tank and radiator inlet not clean from the previous job. Make sure they don't add tap water this time when refilling coolant.

wads a utr-v8? lol..

anyway need some advise..anyone know how much it cost to replace a 2nd hand carburetor and cdi?

my previous problem of bike can't go above 8k rpm and also at one point it just suddenly stalled.

the bike shop check and said my carb spoil and cdi also..quoted me $300.

that's after I had the carb cleaning with them..(shld have stick to advise from ah pek not to let shop open to clean!)

on a side note really advise all not to let bike shop open ur carb for cleaning or servicing or tuning..if just carb cleaning, look for the method by ah pek..big time regret now lol..

Yo William! Recently, I find it hard to change gears. I just changed EO and clutch plates. Do you think its the clutch cable problem?

When I feel sad, I stop being sad and be awesome instead. True story. Hehe :thumb:

Likely clutch cable stretch (need to readjust biting point) or chain too loose.

Ohhh. Thanks man. Can we tighten the chains without jacking up the rear wheel?

Yes..lossen the main axle nut first..than adjust the chain adjuster nut (left side of the bike first) by turning clockwise and see the chain moving upwards. Stop and check the marker on the adjustable scale and do the same for the other adjuster on the right side of the bike. Be sure both markers are of same value so that the wheel is in line.

I'm not an expert in this and don't have the time to test out. May be u can try checking wif the manufactural themselves.
