i see.

yes the brake pads were new, brand is SBS, 20+ per pair kind.

actually i wasn't on brembo callipers previously. motordiam was exporting the super4 with brembo callipers thus i change it to the brembo callipers with new brake pads and bleeding by motordiam.

i feel that the braking feel isn't there for a brembo lei. maybe i'm expecting too much. hahaha

would you be free to help me run through the brakes and re-bleed if it's possible.

let me know if it is possible to arrange an appointment with you.

I think its best u go back to the mototiam and highlight the problem to them...could be ur brake pump rubber partially too soft liao. Bleeding again I think would ot soft ur problem as I believe the mech knows what he's doing..unless, he feels oherwise..he would do it again.

would it help?

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.

That's the only thing left to do though..no venture no gain.

Hi Ah Pek

Need your advice, whenever I hard brake or soft brake there's a knocking sound from the fork. What causes it?

Another thing is after I replace my front brake pad there is this soft but audible sound which the best I can describe is like you put a stick (like those road cleaner's broom use to clear dry leaves) on a bycycle rim.

btw I'm riding a vtec 2 if it helps in your troubleshooting. Thanks in advance Bro. :p

Check see if ur front number plates is too low. It may be 'knocking' against ur front fender top. Again it could be cone bearing..check see when you brake the handle moves a bit fore and back in sync wif the sound.

For the second question...u did not mentioned if the sound existed b4 u did the bake pad changed but if i was ok b4 the change..I suggest u go back to the mech and tell them so..could be a sloppy job that one of the brake pad may not be sitted properly or caliper bolt not tighten..whatever.

I don't think it's the plate as I've got plenty of clearance, maybe like you said it's the cone bearing but no knocking sound when move it back and forth though.

There wasn't any sound before and I did go back to mechanic and watch him placed the pad properly and tighten every bolt and he even remove the silver plate but sound still persist.

It's mounted in front of the horn using the metal strip with holes and plenty of space from the top fender.

I know but on't be fool by that large plenty of space you got. Hve u tried moving off at 1st gear and break hard just a bit to test it? Mine was like that but bekuz the front fork dip a bit too much and things touches..that's what I meant by how did u check it. It happened to mine before as I had a lot of space too..trhis is when the oil in the fork was not enough. U may need someone to see while u do it or u have to lean forward a lot to see it as u do it. By just seeing it..nothing is helping.

Hello guy, can I tag my voltmeter wire directly to the battery ?

honda sp>honda phantom> honda cb400>yamaha R15 > i want a honda CBR!!!

Yah..u can but if u wanna switch it off..have to implement a toggle switch (On/OFF) along the wire. Also bettle to have a fuse incorporated along the connection.

Ok Ah Pek, will try your suggestion but if not the plate so probably I have to change to cone right?

Have to test the cone first by having the front wheel up and swing the handle left and right..if there is resistance and it does not swing fully from one end to the other..the cone bearing may be bad. You can oso move forward and brake suddenly and see if the handle rocks or move forward with knowcking noise to confirm faulty cone bearing. if u do not know how..ask the emch to check for u. The knocking sound may be from something else that's loose.

Its normal. As long as the sound don't get any louder and goes aways when engine gets hot after awhile. The sound is coming from one of the 16 shims (valve clearance) in the engine.

What do u meant by temp zooming up all the way?..what degree in Celsius?

"just this morning,my temp got up again, fan switched on but dies after awhile.is this normal?take note that temp is above half during this period.

"...YES..this is very normal. If ur fan keeps coming "ON"..it means trouble. Be happy that ur fan is tested working but not turn on MOST of the time.

The fan is actually an "extractor fan"..it works by being trigger by the radiator fan switch (the intruding thing on the left side of ur radiator) when temp reaches 102 degree Celsius.
