Bro ... Help , this time for me to change tyre , Metzeler sportec M5 for hayabusa , Hw ur review ???

depends on what u intend to use your bike for...

i'm currently using it, very good for sports touring bikes.. good grip in wet, good traction for curvy roads.. just my 2 cents..

if intend to use for both touring and occasional track sessions, i still prefer mich pilot power 2ct.. but my next pair i wish to try mich power pure 2ct :)

if u always go touring, get touring tires(example but not limited to pilot road, bridgestone 023, metzeler z8/z6)

always on the street, get street tires,(example but not limited to pilot power, bridgestone 016, metzeler m5)

always do very aggresive/track riding, get track tires.( example but not limited to Pirelli Diablo supercorsa, metzeler racetec interact)

I feel that m5 is quite good even with occasional track days… mileage wise should be able to get you pass the 10k mark on your busa

I'm using Pilot road 2. Dual compound too. Hard centre for good mileage (estimated 15k km to 20k km or more) and soft side for cornering. Worth the money. As for wet weather, I have no comment. It is supposed to be good in wet as well.

Agree....get the specific tyre for your use......but there is also no point to fix on tyres if you do not have confidence in them........ for eg if you have been using michelin tyres and find them very predictable and have confidence in them, maybe you should stick with the brand.......cos different brands have different compunds and structure so you need to get use to them first before exploiting thier capabilities.........

I've always used pilot rd 2 for my gen1 and they serve thier purposes very well......currently I'm using M5 for my gen 2......so far so good in some areas it is just as good as the rd 2, but lacks the confidence I have in the wet. For milage not sure yet, only used it for 3k miles only. I also heard from a few friends that the Z8 is just as good as the pilot rd 2.

yea i thinki he meant 2 x 12v batt connect in parallel

yup it should be connected in parallel, if in series not done properlly u might just cause more electrical problems to ur bike.............. another way to solve that issue is that you might wanna consider upgrading to the lithium batteries, instead of having 2 batteries in your bike, its gonna be heavy.

Dual batt setup usually for heavily mod bikes. for stock bikes ytx14 would be a better choice. and if you have trouble staring , it may not be your current batt. check your starter motor .. may need some cleaning..

boss, its ytz14s :cheeky:

ytx14 are too tall, 145mm

stock batt is YT12A-BS, 150mm length 87mm width 105mm height

YTZ14S is 150mm x 87mm x 110mm height, length and width same and only 5mm taller thats why can fit inside busa without further mod

in my case is yes......I feel that pilot rd 2 has better wet grip, it is becos of my bike set-up and my style of riding......it might differ for other bike setup.....

In any case, i dont really rely on what other ppl say, as it might be good for them but not for me, or something that is good for me but not be good for them..... but i will use thier point of view for considerations.

Sometimes you just need to try it out and find out if it suits with your riding style and bike set-up.

I stick with the words, "make the bike to suit you and not you to suit the bike".

A good eg is in motogp, stoner won the championship on a ducati but rossi cant, y? cos the bike for the past few yrs was develop around stoner, it was suited for him not for rossi. Maybe next season after a few changes and recommendations by rossi could we see some improvements to the ducati factory.

YT12A-BS is for Gen 1? Just to add on, for Gen 2, the stock battery is YTX12-BS instead. It is taller at 150mm x 87mm x 131mm. Hence if you change to YTZ14S or TTZ14S, it will be shorter at 110mm. Hence also no need to do any modification.

my fren riding a gen2 cut a styrofoam board to fill up the gap when he change to ytz14s. he cut it nicely den place it under the battery

i juz found out that the dealer put in a ytz10s for my gen1, i got the bike brand new........
