hi, all the seniors..

recently upgraded to brembo RCS 19 master pump and change to steel braided brake hose but did not feel a significant improvement of the braking

is it because of the brake pads? still using the stock brake pads as it hasn't worn out yet.:cheeky:

Hi guys,

Im new here n i wanna have some feedback from u guys who's riding the busa. Is full dual exhaust system is better than the single?? Coz im intend to buy a dual full system n maybe u guys can help me out with some feeback?? Thanks...

I'm not a very technical person who can give u statistical figures on how each system works but wad I can feel by changing to a 4-2-1 system is that the weight is reduced thus giving u better maneuverability when cornering.

IMO, some after-market 4-2-2 can also improve the aesthetic of the bike itself. it boils down to your personal preference.

My 2 cents worth. Cheers!

Shifted my priorities to work & family so I didn't have the opportunity & time to tour up north hence the low mileage. Well I guess priorities do change from time to time so I feel it's time to prep up my bike & start riding again. If u guys have any outings, pls include my wife & I ya?

The primary purpose of a aftermarket brake pump is to improve the braking modulation, not so much on braking power. The steel hose will help abit. A good brake pad will helps mainly. Anyway since you have changed to RCS19, you can try switching the pivot point to 18 for more modulation. Personally I find I need to use lesser finger power to brake but will tend to feel mushier (but thats modulation for you). Try experimenting with it.

Hi Madbusa87,

Just sharing my experience here, when i first bought the Gen 1 Busa it never crossed my mind to do any modification or changes and I believe the bike is good as it is.

But then a fellow rider put up for sale an illegal titanium full system at an unmentionable price. I jumped at it and lo and behold. Even without tuning it, the power dat came with the full 4-2-1 system was beyond my expectations, pick up was tremendously fast and especially on wet road the rear tyre wld easily lose traction. Overtaking cars on the NSHW was a breeze. The best part the fuel consumption running mostly on expressways was not much different, still able to clock 17 - 18 kms per litre and my full tank could take me from Tampines to Woodlands and back on average for 5 trips a week. Not to forget the sweet exhaust note. Most of our senior brothers wld hv experienced the same I believe.

But then all good things hv to come to an end, and after riding it for 3 yrs and with age catching up, I gave it in for something else especially now with the current blitz by the white ants.

From my understanding, since late last year, der are only legal 4-2-2 systems approved on our roads. No more new 4-2-1 systems will be permitted from then on. Those still on the roads dat are legal are the lucky old ones. Cheers!!!

Imo, of all hayabusa oem design. The "s" design is the nicest.

1) Some say dual system better for top range power while single better for low and mid range power

2) Some say single system lighter hence save overall weight for better maneuverability

3) Some say single is cheaper than dual

While I say, just go for something you like. Single look wierd at the non exhaust part. The exposed swingarm look skinny compared to the bodyline of the busa. I changed to single full system before and changed back to dual slip on cause it just look wierd to me. Just street riding for me, so not very concern about the performance stuff.

Same here. Dual look better n I too juz do street riding. So no need for extra hp.

Sadly busa exhaust market is kinda week. Still not even a single buyer call me. So I be keeping mine.

Oh my.. Wats wrg with my busa.. After 2 weeks not riding that bike, my bike sundenly sounds like a v-twin engine.. When doing pick up especially, can hear the pipe sounding like varadero like that.. Could it be the injector for servicing plus change of spark plug.. So damn worried now. Hope don cost a bomb..

Anyone experienced before?

It could be ur fuel pump.

Sorry I can't be much of help. No idea.

i'm one of the few lucky ones haha!...

weight saving is one of the bigger factors la, lighter bike = shorter braking distance imho

Could be a foul plug, could be a "spoilt" petrol etc. Is there any FI light? if no FI light, then could not be injector. If you can, try touching the headers to determine if the cylinder is working. Use a cloth or something to touch the hearder to see if that particular cylinder is hot or not. If it is not hot, then maybe spark plug spoilt. You might need to remove your fairing to touch the header.

Or you can try changing the petrol incase the petrol have degraded that cause premature knocking. You could also use an injector cleaner like STP injector cleaner to clean the fuel line.

Start from the cheaper option. Otherwise visit your friendly neigbourhood bike shop.

Try changing ur spark plug . . Dat could be the culprit . .

dude...warm up your bike, den take some water and spray on your headers, the water should dry off very fast...

my guess is that one of your headers wont dry off as fast as the others, spark plug foul/ injector problem/ lost compression are all possible but let's start with the cheapest remedy and change your plugs first, injectors and piston rings are very durable compared to plugs
