something is wrong with the rotors i reckon...if its new it should not cause any problems...

or maybe you can try to sand down the rotors, google it and u can see some articles about it

Is one of the best.. but old school end pipe. try shorten it. sound even nicer.

Mmmmmm

Bro, can PM me the place where I can get my end-can shorten & if possible re-conditioned. Thanks in advance Nok :thumb:

1) Need to see the FI code. Sometime can be connector loose. In order to see the FI code, you have to keep the dealer mode on all the way and wait for the error to resurface again. When you off the bike, the FI will go away again. Anyway is to go Guan Hoe to use the diagnostic machine to check your ECU for the code. The ECU will have a record of the FI code but it will cost money. Check with Guan Hoe on this matter.

2) You could also check the wheel alignment as well. Slight wobbling could amplified as you go faster.

Thanks for your explanation bro.

(1) must I wait till the problem resurface before I send it to guan hoe or can I just send it there straight away to check?

Guan Hoe now located at Autobay Kaki Bukit right?

Oh, just remembered, thou the FI indicator came on, I still rode my bike at abt 220-230km/h. Do u reckon I might have damaged something in this process?

(2) I did noticed (after pulling over at the petrol kiosk) that one the weight (sticky tapped onto the circumference of my front rim) was missing. This weight thingy is used to balance my tire right?

Thanks for much for your patience & replies. I guess the newbies here including me are learning a great deal from these qns & explanations.

Cheers.

Just to check with those Gen 2 riders whom had removed the catalyzer from their stock exhaust. What is the cost and work involved? Do you need to cut the mid pipe or do what the local mech do, use chisel and hammer from the mid pipe hole?

I'm interested to do it cause it can remove the excess heat from the leg area. Is it true? Don't mind removing if the price is okay. Oh ya, any significant drop in power during the pick up? Thanks in advance.

I've done it! Hehe... Take not there are 2 of them. $80 each so its $160.

What they did was cut the mid-pipe, then re weld back. You mentioned heat? Like no diff lei. The only diff is smoother and more fuel consumption. I'm using leo vince slip on, the sound also like same. Kinda regret doing it also. Lol...

Bro, i don't know much but ur point number 2 is from my experience is correct. Thats why its called wheel balancing. If u ride sg cannot feel the diff. But when u nshw, then can feel.

check with ur "alway visit" bike shop. they will know how to do. (wrap the end part inner core with steel wool) if they know the best . some just rewrap with fibers..check on the mid pipe too. (length-4-1 / 4-2-1 to endcan) normally shop will chop off 2-5inch. (see your inner cone-diff rider have diff "heat" burn or "stress" spot(mostly is white ) along the core.. Btw your mid pipe slot diameter shd be 2.25'. Hope it helps.

You can sent it to let them check. They have the proper Suzuki diagnostic tools to dig out the code from your ECU. You may want to call Guan Hoe to double check first. Yes, they are now located at Autobay @ Kaki Bukit. Level 2 along the stretch of Unique, Sportings etc.

Erm, by right there some sort of like a fail safe procedure in case FI code lights up. Usually by the means of power cut. Maybe it only affect some FI codes only. Don't worry so much, I kanna all 4 injectors error code lighted up and I still carry riding above 200kph. But that is for my previous 750 and it due to my PC3. Anyway I am thinking your problem might be due to TPS which is the most common. Let Guan Hoe have a look first bah

(2) I did noticed (after pulling over at the petrol kiosk) that one the weight (sticky tapped onto the circumference of my front rim) was missing. This weight thingy is used to balance my tire right?

Yes, it is supposed to help balance the whole wheel. The wobbling effect will increase as the wheel turn faster. So don't underestimate that few grams of weight.

Thanks for the information. That means no point doing then. Not really concern about the sound effect. Just thinking of ways to remove the heat from the leg area. Somemore you mentioned higher fuel consumption??? No thanks!

went to hkl. did not do anything as the mech that was attending me, somewhat i feel he's not knowledgeable enough.

damn he cant even feel the pulsation effect when braking. at first he said was normal then i told him cant be as there quite a bed vibration too when braking. then he just pointed and said maybe its the brake caliper piston. what can agak agak ar.

i told him if its the brake rotor problem then juz change my rotor back to oem as i need to ship it back to the seller.

he insist me to do the caliper piston first to see how as "brake pad and rotor new. caliper piston old"

will seek ah lai tomorrow

i also got this pulsating problem but only when is low speed braking.. i.e at carpark

normal riding ok so i ignore @_@

rotor and caliper stock.

brembo RCS 19 masterpump and steel braided hose..

as mine is a 3yr old bike can feel my front rotor already not "flat surface"

ask mech they say it's normal for big bikes.. @_@

after remove catalyzer need to tune?

some experience from my previous ride, once you remove all the catalyzer need to tune as the A/F ratio will be different. If nv tune it will feel totally shitty.. worst then stock..

read up on bedding in of rotors, i think i have to bed in the rotors lar but too risky if i drag this issue too long.

had email the ebay seller, he's asking about my bike model, vin no. and what's wrong with the rotors before proceeding with either replace or refund.

so far so good. fast reply and email received seems to be in a professional manner.

Maybe thats the effect of full floating rotor before bedding in? Not sure though... Just guessing.

i read up. i do have the symptoms of the before bedding in but i also expreience heavy vibration at expressway riding while braking.

would like to replace rathen then refund. then i would bed it proper.

if the same thing happen then i guess its really the effect of full floating disc before bedding.

as i do not want to take all the risk, replacing is a very good idea for now.

Yes, replace will be the safest bet. All the best to your negotiation with the seller then. You might also want to post in another thread to ask those full floating brake users. Maybe they can chip in their experience.

Hmm.. You mean most shops / "always visit" shop will know how to do? Honestly normal servicing of bikes I trust them. Anything else, not that much. Maybe u can share with me your usual or recommended shop to get the pipe shortened & re-conditioned?

(length-4-1 / 4-2-1 to endcan)

errrr sorry for my noob knowledge but what do I need to do to my mid-pipe? Get them to cut 2.5 inches? Is there a specific reason why it's 2.5 inches or this is the optimum for RS3?

(see your inner cone-diff rider have diff "heat" burn or "stress" spot(mostly is white ) along the core.

Bro I totally lost u. If it's not too troublesome, perhaps u can elaborate?

Pai seh.. Totally noob with such things hence the questions.
