Came across this product....probably not available in singapore...

The Signal Sorcerer is actually designed for use on traffic lights that rely on inductive loop systems that are buried in the asphalt near the intersection. (Those large black-outlined rectangles commonly seen around intersections.) These systems detect the presence of iron in order to determine if the light needs to be changed because a vehicle is sitting at the intersection. (They’re not triggered by weight.) Unfortunately a lot of modern motorcycles don’t have enough iron materials in them for the inductive loop to detect their presence so the Signal Sorcerer is designed to generate a powerful field to substantially increase the induction in the loop improving the chances of the system detecting your ride.

An interesting product and very useful for those impatient riders. But i find it unnecessary cause usually if its too long i'll just walk up to the traffic light and press the pedestrian crossing button.

Since these loop detectors already find it hard to detect a bike sitting stationary at junctions.... then those loop detectors at junctions with Red Light Cams will also find it hard detecting a bike blazing thru the red light at 100+ ?

LOL

what i normally do is stomp on the black markings ....normally works

I was stuck at the junction turning under the expressway turning towards the NTU's LimChu kang entrance for way too long, till I stamped on the black thin lines (inductive loop I presume?), Yes stamping does work.

Guys, if stamping on the black lines works... it's all in your heads, or lucky timing.

It's a fact... inside those black lines are twisted pair copper wires going towards a loop detector in those grey standing boxes (traffic light controllers). It's the same principle for those automated carparks using ERP or cashcard.

All loop detectors.

Modern bikes with a high aluminium construction will have trouble being detected. Cars and older bikes, or cruisers with steel frames are easier to detect.

Unless you're wearing steel toed boots, stamping on those lines will do diddly squat to change the lines. It's all in the head....

Place your wheels on those black liner, best with parallel your bike with those line.

If you think the first line not working, move the next line....

Does it works?

www.carbibles.com tested this and it works exactly like advertised.

For actual roads, I've tried these:

i) stomp on the sensor

ii) brake hard when over sensor

iii) when in convoy, a few bikes squeeze together over sensor

Somehow, they work. Then again big fat phantom with accessories presents enough metal for the sensor to work most of the time.

I like to make big show of stomping on the sensor then suddenly the lights change in my favour. Power sia :D

Side stand one is the most brilliant, thanks for sharing!

Its not illegal for us to step down and press the pedestrian button right? Just paiseh only. Hehe... Cus last time i got do that, then otw to the pedestrian button, the traffic lights turn amber already on the opp side. I quickly run back to my bike sia. So paiseh... Hahaha....

I have tried this method all the time and it works. Stop the bike directly across the black line. Dunt have to be in the box. Just the outline. Esp with the engine over the line.
