A K9 busa owner here. Never ridden the ZX14 before. If I were to compare, busa will be a more budget bike. Fuel comsumption is great for a 1340cc. Slightly better than my ex CBR1000. Suzuki insurance is alot cheaper compared to Kawa and is still using some old parts which is compatible with the gen 1 busa and some GSXR models. Straight line and high speed handling should be the same for both bikes as they are built for this purpose. I wouldn't say so for cornering. But according to some mag review, busa fare better in cornering. But from my point of view, it sucks. Maybe it because my past few rides are all pure breed sportbikes. But ZX14 do look more modern. The new busa seems like a new revamp cover stucks with a 90s body.

Just my opinion.

Low speed is okay. Never had an issue at low speed even during U turn.

vrooooom, another round, never slow down

Knock'em down in .01 seconds

Let's leave our mark here and disappear to the next group

The loser's left crawling on the ground in a cloud of dust

The wannabes are all talk, They just get in the way so let's ignore'em

We takes off, beyond the street

Only den they'll know!

touring, comfort, reverse.. hmm, goldwing? :cheeky:

I like my bb anyway, and slow speed ok, but FC, not so good.

Try hayabusa before, but haven't tried zx-14. But I think, out of those 3 compared, GTR really comfortable riding posture for long distance..

A word of caution...beware the allure of the hypersport bikes like (Hayabusa, ZX-14, Blackbird). Too often, I see these 300kmh bikes turn into widow makers.

They are optimised to go very very fast. At slower (but still fast) speeds like 120kmh, it is a pain and bore to ride them. So the rider can't help but go faster, and faster, and faster...

Totally agree with you. These bikes need lots of responsibility...At the rate of these bikes capability..SG 2ndlink customs to KL can be like 1 1/2hr away..hehe!!

Dont mean to scare TS regarding the U-turn,just that these bikes are long. Kind of shocked taking a u-turn with my bike after riding a vespa n super4 for so long...

Hypersports bikes makes great long distance tourers because they are very stable, comfortable and effortless at high speeds. This makes for a less stressful ride, and ultimately a less stressed rider is more alert.

I feel much safer at high speeds on my Hypersport bike compared to my Superbike, sitting uprightish and relaxed, rather than tucking in behind a tiny screen.

Having said that, end of the day its down to individual riders' discipline and habits. I don't think its fair to label Hypersport bikes 'widow makers'.
