yeap, protecting the country is actually just protecting the people that i care about, and my phantom.... =P

 

but true to what pyro13 said, our ocs program is first chosen by educational qualifications, and yes yes i know Army, the Sit test program. But in war, how does you having a degree or connections (not referring to anybody or their sons) help in leading me or us?

 

The one scene that I can't help but picture, is Band of Brothers: The Breaking Point, when Dyke led the assault on Foyle and froze up getting a lot of people killed, and then Sharpe just took over to proceed. That would be what worries me more than the enemy......... Sure that's just a movie...

Qns: If there is a war breaking up, you are now oversea (holiday) with your family. Would you come back to Singapore to fight the war and leave your family oversea?

 

I don't even know what am I fighting for in a war. I don't think killing another person is the only way to survival. And I don't even know if I will respond to the call to draw arms to protect Singapore.

in the recent show, world invasion...

 

i see that many are willing to go fight the war and to ensure the survival of their country.

 

hope this will help ppl understanding fighting for own country is more impt.

in the recent COC of the army chief,

 

the chief said that

there is country, there is home, when there is home there is me...

(layman term)

 

so hearing that... how true.

no country, i will not be even here cause there is no SBF :p haha

Upon invasion we fight, yes. But if cause of invasion is because leaders foolish actions, forget it. Top up with honest mistake excuses, even worst. In middle east, people are not engage in war with another country, yet they take up arms to fight for their equal rights in their home land, its gets confusing when actual events takes place, because some scum will make use of the chaos to take control and con the people. So a good leader with very clear and focus objective is very important, not to lose sight of it and end up back to square one. Libya is a mess, who is taking over when gaddafi is gone? Where is the libya rebel and his cause? Nato going to take over??? MS is right, we must know the reason we fight and the cause of action after fighting.

i got another scenario...

 

Qns: if T-virus break out in Singapore while im oversea (holiday) with my family... Everyone in Singapore had infected and become zombie.

 

i definately will come back n wrack lo... even if SAF nv recall mi... i will still come back myself... :thumb:

If there's a war, 1day the max, there will be no more sg..... So dun bother to waste time and be hero. See what happens in WW2. Lesson learnt....... All it takes is 1 nuke. Dun say sg, my also dissappear! Hahahaha!
