Planet was 6 speed im co owning a current evo1, 7speed i find not as good for day to day riding, i feel thres a reason why current day top race reps stick to 6.

Actually alot of people thinks that the ev7 faster.. First to sixth gear ratio is about the same.. No difference in engine specs and design.. Still the blur headlight with lighter wheels.. Racewerks says gearbox interchangable thats why people are looking for it.. but To what i think the 7th gear is mainly for cruising on low rpms.. Thats the only difference.. No performance difference.. Now eyeing on the nc700.. Hopefully the dct model is legal..

Guys need help/info for those still watching this forum, what is the top speed of your h250s?? i rode to meleka, and was doing 150 at 5th gear, the moment i shifted to 6th, it went down to 130kmh and got stuck at 10500krpm. That happened a few times, and my engine overheated multiple times during the ride, when i stopped coolant leaked out the overflow pipe. then i topped it up over again. when i reach sg the next day i blew the left crankcase gasket. i waqs thinking could it be a different bike cdi cutting revs at 10500? or other issues? thanks for any help

Your coolant all dry up bro.. I suggest you flush your cooling system and not just top up it via the reserviour tank under your seat.. Constant over flowing and over heating indicates air in your cooling system.. Air expands more and faster when heated compared to water.. its better to replace the radiator caps under the tank as well if your bike is coming to a decade.. If you need help flushing you can call me..

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi guys, my H9 started to have this problem, hope i am able to describe this in words.

The problem come when i maintain at rpm 3,

it will sometime lose power(like no fuel feeling), but it will gain back it power in a spit second.

when i throttle it up, it will become smooth in a while.

Anybody face this problem before, able to advise?

As i am riding a Honda CBF600 Euro model and wish to install a top damper. My frame looks really like Hornet 6.

LOL, still hugging onto my 919... I happen to came across a fellow SBF thread on engine restoration with the help of this "CERTECH Gel" (http://certechgels.com/introduction-to-certechgels/). Any of you guys heard of it as well?

recent wet ground had a real hard time braking effectively... had glide on the road and fish tail all at the same day.

your tires worn?

they are the only contact patch to the ground, so 1st place to see is tires. worn out or uneven wear. maybe squared already.

only on wet roads? i know my tires will skid abit hwen i go over wet metal grates only.

actually the tire tread still deep and visible, not sure if the lesser surface contact (under inflate) or my incorrect braking techniques... sometimes tend to pull the clutch together, which "disable" engine brake. Gan Chiong ah...

Yup, those metal cover/grilles on the ground would be another problem for me as well. My company side has a stetch of grilles towards exit, some they were situated during corner "sianz".

i also same as you, clutch in when i brake to make it as smooth as possible but not good cause you end up not having engine braking.

my previous tyre also has deep groove but was starting to go bald and hard due to age. so i swapped it out for fresh tires, feels slightly better.

i'm using bt45 bridgestone btw. pretty good but still not as good as my metzeler lazertec back in my phantom days. those were the best.

bad thing about big tire size is cost, so you have to shop around abit. can check out unique motorsports, they have widest range available. i go to them for tires only. service still at planet.

tires we are spoiled for choices... look at the variety so many to choose from.

LOL still need to brush up on my braking especially during wet season... by the way how you gauge the stiffness of the tires (*how you tell its harden)

I'm using pirelli diablo corsa, braking on dry condition good can feel the feedback from the tires but when comes to rainy season I find it hard to do simple bend or braking. It tend to "slip" no contact... I try keeping the tires inflat so to maintain the profile of the tire so to avoid uneven wear of it.

Hey guys, selling my bike so i have a renthal ultralow barely used, before i put up for sales asking if anyone wants? Great alternative to stock hornet bars, and lighter than alternatives like fz16 or ktm duke handlebars. 100sgd cash and carry.

Also have 13mm brembo calipers with mirror mount if any of you interested working perfectly 100sgd.

hmm, very subjective to tell if its hard or soft cause different tyres made with different compound.

your diablo corsa are agressive tyres. meant for sporty riding. max grip in urban conditions.

you might want to look at sport touring tyres. pirelli angel, michelin pilot road 2/3. range is about 400 plus.
