"A small amount of the oil that circulates in the engine is always burnt (an engine in good condition consumes between 0.2 and 0.5 liters of oil every 1,000 kilometers), but successive top-ups are no substitute for an oil change."

take out the dipstick and clean with cloth

after that dip in and take out (no need to screw in)

if got oil at the end dipstick, means enough oil

wave's engine oil not pour in the whole bottle meh? cos i sometimes notice the mech pour in the whole bottle. cos i see the tilting the whole bottle upside down to ensure all the oil is in. they oso dun use the bottle side to gauge the oil level. ani one wif manual care to share?

Posted

I pour in whole bottle (1L) too.

Cos i dont have anything to measure how much e.o. im pouring in (bottle got no markings)

Anw I think its better to pour in more than less, right?

From my knowledge, engine too much or not enough engine oil no good for engine... too much will have excess pressure for ur engine, not very good, too little, very little lub in the engine, wear and tear faster... must be just nice...

let say i use esso gold 4T when i change engine oil but if top up the engine oil using other brand, is it ok?

most people wont reccomend it... but also... it wont kill your engine for sure....

no harm doing it for 1 month... then next time you change oil... remember to get the container of the remaining oil....
