Alert: Bike box n theft in simei

A few nighbours and my friend had their china made box broken into and all items in the box stolen over the last few weeks. One of them even had a bike box opened without any sign ( seems eithe the box key is crappy such that many bike box share same key or even a

simple normal key or screw driver can open easily) on the first night he park the bike there after collecting his bike new from bike shop. He only lose a new free gift helmet. He changed the box immediately to givi but 2 weeks later, the thief came again. This time he did not managed to open the box but end up dig until the original key cannot enter the hole. The thieft spoilt the box lock with some dent on the key holes. Now my friend need to change the whole box again.

 

So anyone staying around the area pls look out. Although there is already a plan to ambush the thief, my friend need the help of all staying near there to keep a look out and be careful not to be the next victim.

 

Anyone have any clue or have similar experience in the area please share your case or post the info here. Because it will help the cops in catching the thief. And also don't touch the bike if u discover something missing. Finger print and DNA or some other sophisticated methods can be done to catch the thief.

 

And to the thief if you read this. Good luck to you because there is this thing call retribution.

Why not? If the thief or thieves had stolen from alot of bike boxes and it had caused the residents unhappiness. If you are the Station Inspector for Simei district, would you not do something?

if givi lock is spoilt, i think you can repair.. no need to change new box.

3 bikes fell, seats damaged, fairings scratched, i went to the neighborhood police post to make a report at 950pm.

 

young nsf chap: you CANNOT make a police report. coz i gotta close shop at 10pm. anyw, my equipment is not here so CANNOT take photograph of the damage.

 

i called the npc to send their guys down to take photograph and report.

 

another young nsf chap: we CANNOT send a unit down to take photograph, u bring the bike to us.

 

me: my bike's broken down, u r very far away.

 

the nsf chap: you PUSH the bike to us.

 

his father (me) very angry ald, ask any other method. ya, go online lodge report, no photographs, nobody to take statement, just a self service online report.

 

until today not even an email was received.

to be honest, they really can't be bothered.. to go through all the trouble , to put simply, if they are off duty means they are off duty and theres nothing you can do or say to change that

Some months back my neighbours were having a quarrel WWF style and I alerted the cops. To get them to come and put a stop to the nonsense I had to threaten: "You want me to call 999 now, or 995 later?". And he still tried to give the excuse "Domestic issue".

off duty is one thing. e other night i was @ the neighborhood coffeeshop, there were some gamblers gambling away in one of the tables.

 

a police patrol car came over, stopped, looked at them for 2mins, den left!

 

even 3 y/o also know they gambling..

AIyo, but if your area is that bad, i also dont expect our peanuts paid policeman to risk life and limb for this kinda crime. Even i also wont bother so much. Its in the hands of the ruler now, we didnt create this enviornment. Now they are probably bz with terror attack, with UPS cargo jeopardise nowadays. Before they closed down permanently the "basement kopitiams" under some blocks, there used to be "India vs China" drunken battles almost every night. I moved to a different block than where Jack and I used to share the carpark shortly after "the incident".

 

Thankfully the area is very peaceful now. I am considering holding my future woodlands-area 2B bike tuning & washing sessions where I am now.

Before they closed down permanently the "basement kopitiams" under some blocks, there used to be "India vs China" drunken battles almost every night. I moved to a different block than where Jack and I used to share the carpark shortly after "the incident".

 

Thankfully the area is very peaceful now. I am considering holding my future woodlands-area 2B bike tuning & washing sessions where I am now.

 

Sounds similar to Golden Mile Complex. What to do, undergarment welcum them with open arms, else something $$$ will shrink.

The whole simei is under the thief radar. saw many bikes here all have boxes tempered before.

just change the lock at a locksmith.. no need change the whole box..

It's street one. Another neighbor had his givi box stolen with 2 stinky cheap full of scratch helmets inside also stolen together. Hope the thief's head rot.
