How much does a first hand class 2 sport bike cost on average?

I am just wondering what is the average cost of a first hand class 2 sport bike cost on average? For example like:

 

1. Yamaha YZF-R1

2. Kawasaki Ninja ZX1-R

 

By the way, I am only holding a class 2b license but just very curious to know the average cost of it (and also preparing to save up for it ^^).

I know Honda CB1000R can easily cost up to 26K (although its a non sports bike), my colleague told me when he first purchase CBR1100XX which cost him 23K (10 years ago)... so you can imagine the price tag of all > 600cc machine, damn I still don't understand why pple would think that bike is a poor man/woman transport...

bike has category, economical, sports, motocross, street fighter, tourer, adventure... all of them has a different price tag.

just to add on... getting big bike no matter new or old, dont let it be a burden to you.. unless you have plan ur financial or have extra $$$... ..

Be prepared for average yearly expenses of $5-7K per year if buying a brand new jap bike.

 

Besides thinking of cash outlay, you have to be prepared to "lose"

- bike depreciation $3-4/year on average when you sell the bike

- $1k-2K insurance

- $500-800/yr for tyre consumables

- Most people crash their sportsbike. Even minor drop-crash will set you back by $1K at least because of painting, plastic work, clutch level, gear level, foot pegs, signal lights (not include headlight $>1)

- $a few hundred for road tax

- $1-2K for helmet, suite.

 

So as good as buying a car

Can buy my 24 month old fz6 for 12.5k, just pm for more detail
