S100 products sold at Biketech are what i used to clean my rims and clean/lube my chain..

 

they will advice you to mix half of S100 degreaser with water as the original concentration is strong..

with it i clean rims and chain with no sweat, minimal scrubbing..

 

the degreaser will not eat paint, good for engine cleaning too..

 

else Muc off is also very good.. but the price is more ex..

thanks for the compliments..

 

i wash the shock, brakes, rims, swingarm, chain, engine using same cleaning product..

 

using a long paint brush to reach areas like the shock..

similar like the one in the pic but longer and the bristle of the brush is harder..

you can find them at any stationary shop..

Anyway, after reading about how some of you guys use GT85 to clean your rims. Tried it, awesome~

me using engine degreaser u can get from Esso for like $7+... a little squirt on ur towel n u can remove all the dirt on the rim.. a can shud last u several mths.. gd for ur engine too if urs is a naked..

Most hardware shops have it. even bicycle shops. :cool:

I'm riding a steed. I use meguairs alluminium and mag cleaner $19+. This product puts autosol to shame.

both WD-40 and GT85 serve me well, if you using chain spray after applying it wipe the rim with either WD or GT chain lube fling can be easily wipe off later :thumb:

Would like to try automotive tire shine... looks damage fantastic :p

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

i dont think its a good idea to use any products to shine your bike tyre, if that's what you are thinking of.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

hey ppl, i went to carrefour,ntuc they nvr sell gt85, somebody mention mustafa not selling anymore right?

 

near my house there's a shop selling $15 big bottle, small 1 ard $7+ - 8,

 

i suppose $10 u guys refering to big bottle?

 

if so my place sell so exp ah $15!

Meguiars has a all purpose rim cleaner. Works great! only downside is the price.

 

used this too, very good. cheaper alternative is definitely kerosene..

Something to note to all, many solvents and detergents can be used to clean rims. But PLEASE BECAREFUL OF YOUR TYRES.

First wash may be crazy.. can use diesel. after that detergent is good enough.

For my spokes... thats a different story altogether polish oil repeat.
