i think if its sold in msia then i guess its all up to the police there to take actions? We cant say much can we? haha. Using a replica or a chiong stuff.. IMO, its fine.. just so long u know what the the risks involved, and you think you are comfortable with it and the price.. then go ahead lor...

its just like buying a fake LV wallet ... some really like it but cant afford it... but so long you dont step into europe and let then cho-chok you with the fake lv wallet then i guess you are fine?

plus, ppl will say you are posuer lor.. bo lui act wu lui.. u know stuff like that...

There is no replacement for displacement, except for Ah Seng

i dun depend on an LV wallet to protect my life in the event of a crash. A fake LV wallet might tear easily or color run-off when wet or watever. no problems. fake helmet might crack and fail easily in a crash. super big problem.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

Remember the case where a malay couple got hit from behind by a car on the highway, and the wife died? Her helmet split into two, and it was an original helmet approved by psb.

and if that to you means "might as well use imitation anyway since psb approved oso can split in two so the imitation cant be any worse", well go ahead wear the imitation then. i wear ece/snell full face, i never wear psb open faces. still no guarantee it wont split in two, but less likely than a $50 psb open face, and far far less likely than an imitation arai for which quality control is not a consideration at all.

i'm not preaching for people to wear ece/dot/snell full face. but i firmly believe that between an imitation RM350 arai and a S$50 MFizz psb open face, take the MFizz. obviously the sticker does not make the helmet unbreakable, but its still way better than a suspicious imitation helmet made donno-where by donno-who with no quality control at all.

You misunderstand. My message is much simpler.

When its time for you to go, no safety sticker is going to delay your dinner/date with the lord.

and my point is don't ask the Lord if the dinner/date could be pushed to an earlier date, lest He actually grants it.

the biker who wears a genuine arai and it splits in two in accident, is one whose time is called to the Lord.

the biker who puts on the fake helmet is asking the Lord if he could have an early dinner/date.

Agree with you bro, SIRIM/SNELL/DOT/PSB are just assurance, nothing more than that. This sticker cant guarantee your safety.

if you're buying from an authorised dealer locally i think no prob.

but if private seller better beware. i looked at the pics and compared them to arai website, i couldn see any diff. some more Snell and sirim stickers. the only giveaway is the price of RM350 and the seller openly declare 'replica'. beware though, i think some locals might really try to cheat ppl here. the thread someone directed earlier was very fishy before the moderators 'censored' the offending posts.

Arai Replica

- The cushion is different

- The clip for the cushion is not identical

- The colour of the inner side shell is white instead of black

Thanx for the input. But from looking at the pic above, even the air intake from the visor is real. It really connects to the inner helmet. Its almost impossible to see the diff.

How about the weight???

the weight is as light as hjc ben spies helmet and i would say it works well at high speed, the design mold is 100% same and much more lighter than original, so you guess.
