Turning right at junction

Hi guys, would need your advise on turning right at junction. Sometimes when we are turning right when the light goes green have you ever encounter a bus at oncoming lane turning right blocking your view to see if there are any oncoming car coming towards you?

 

For situation like this do we just sit there and wait till green arrow appear then slowly proceed to turn right?

yup. what more can you do?

i mean you can inch out to have a better view of the oncoming traffic, but if the bus moves off and the lane that the bus was in is right turn/go straight you would be in trouble as you will be blocking the way of the cars behind the bus which might be going straight.

Haha yep true... but i often see car beside me just dash through even when i am at the most right lane and the car was at middle lane. I should see clearer then the car but he went ahead faster then me wth~ So your advise is to wait till the like go orange / green arrow appear. Thanks bro still new, 3mths experience on the road ^^ Sometimes i use other car as shield, just turn with them well i know its also dangerous cus the impact could be big enough to push the car towards me.

Normally this kind of situation when got bus/big vehicles block i will wait for my side's green arrow to come out, got cars or not, i will confirm wait. Vehicles behind horn i also don't care.

its ok to be horned by car. but what bothers me is that after they horn you, some of them can will attempt some dangerous stunt to show their anger. like purposely overtaking you very closely, or overtake you and then jam brake etc

cos there's no human contact/'touch'.. there's been research that when humans bumped into each other, just a simple sorry or gesture will calm the other party off most of the time. put them in a vehicle and everything changes.

1 2nd to u bro, my philosophy is simple, they can just horn, i can _1_, but they cant knock me down, coz they noe if they knock me down they are 100% at fault. and if they do, how much damage can they do to me ( bike dun care), the car is just at most 2m behind, unless he drive F1 car can severely injure me. so its like a psychology think for the driver

 

in any case, i can claim insurane..hehehz..u see my bike...cnfirm the ORginal spare parts hard to find..hahahz

I like that. Ride alive not dead and never gamble your life. They wanna be fast so be it lor end of the day i still ride home alive

actually there's a simple way to solve this. i encounter this tight situation almost everyday.

 

if u're unfamiliar with the traffic conditions, better stay put n wait for the arrow. dont turn with cars, it's dangerous. if they get hit or turn into u, u'll be in trouble.

 

if u're familiar with the traffic condition, before u turn n if u're the 1st, take note of the queue on the opp right turn, roughly rem which vehicle is which. the most dangerous is the car behind the bus. on green light, move to ur pocket, bus will move to his blocking ur view. wait for the lane to clear, after the lane is clear, wait another sec, any vehicle going straight will start using the clear lane, so let them clear first. so now u're left with right turning vehicles, although u can't see what's behind, rem i ask u to rem the queue? if the queue is long eg, 3-4 or more vehicles stuck there, that's when u can proceed inching out to check the clear lane. if there's just the bus there, check the flow of vehicle on ur side before u proceed. also by estimate if u know the green arrow is going to come out, u can start inching also.

 

it take experience with some calculation to get past this tight corner safely without other ppl horning u.

Shouldn't be a problem for a bike, filter left or right, you're usually faster at acceleration from a stop. Even better when you do it with a 2 stroker with premix. Not that I recommend it. They horn, they bang you from behind, claim their insurance, make the bike pretty.
