As explained to you over the phone, your bike was exported. As for the extra $800, I think you had some misunderstanding with my ex-saleman which you understood it's a conversation between you two. I do not charge extra for cash sales. In fact, it will be lesser a burden on hlc's finance with the bank. I rather do straight cash and get the turnover figure. As for the motivation sliders, we promised to give u sliders, and our stocks are always with equipx. You can't expect me to go buy at retail price when we are not carrying motovation products n therefore do not enjoy the dealer price when we get their sliders. Beside, what's with the issue with equipx sliders? We have found it to be of extremely well proven sliders, not that it's a subpar product compared to moto.sliders. If you are wondering, yes we have well tested it with our racebike which have skidded, it bent n held well, not broken screw like some brands

As spoken on the phone, I apologise for my part. Wasnt aware that the bike was being exported. And about the $800 extra, I assumed that it came solely from the ex-salesperson and not how your shop deal full cash as a whole. If its true that you do not charge extra for cash sales, I might be buying new bike from you again. And honestly, for those who have bought bikes from your shop, the paper work is fast and hassle-free. I've to admit that. And, its good to hear that you actually fire that person. Which means to show what kind of boss you are. Thumbs up for that. As for the moto sliders, Im glad that you'll be giving me full set, ie the front, rear and frame. I hope with the ex-salesperson no longer working with you, I can patronise your shop again.

ermmm... admin, its better that you should remain neutral on issues like this... try not to take sides...

what particular sentence of mine shows that im taking side? enlighten me pls.

oh oh... ....... no no nothing... get andy's attention mean tua kee liao..... okok you make me scared... HLC has done nothing to me... its just a shop that people may or may not patronize.

Mas selamat is either in or not in singapore.

Kaozie. Didn't you see HLC's big advertisment banner accompanying the annoying WOOONG WOONG sounds on this webage.... he cannot remain impartial cos SBF has a vested interest in HLC.

Put yourself in his shoes.... people pay good money to advertise on his site... yet got some people say good thing some people say bad things about the shop.... of cos it would be in your interest to only show the good stuff right? Sure we can get angry and up in arms about all this lack of freedom... but c'mon man we live in singapore. We should be used to this by now.

i got low tolerance on ppl like you. u are not the first that gives this crap about advertisers. i give u my final word, either u give genuine feedbacks about your services experience with them, else another post from you with nothing but shitstirring purposes, you be best to other forums that u deem suitable for your likes.

Based on Andy's reply, GENERALLY which part of the sentence makes you feel that he is taking sides? Please do feel free to speak on this matter as we are all adults & won't hesitate to apologies should the need arises.

then should rename this "Why Pay More" into "Its The Right Price"

and nobody should comment if they kana carrot by any shops...

SBF should also state clearly that its for the bike shops, and not for the riders...

muhahahaha...

Good shop bad shop is all over the island. Try rectifying the matter with relevant personnel 1st & escalate to the boss should if required.

I do not know about sindefectos's case but if really both parties comes to a mutual understanding, it is 1 good example

Now you become the one stirring ****.... you have been warned.

Like that then who pay for the site upkeep? You ah? of cos not la.... it would be our generous sponsors like HLC!!!!

Eh you doing accounts for SBF? Please provide evidence backing your statement

To xXxRatedxXx & kaozie;

Please do reply on the questions posed.

For better understanding of your situation/thinking, please do post your PERSONAL experience regardless good or bad.

If required to, we will accompany you to discuss your issues with the boss of HLC.

You are welcome to bring your friends with you as witness on the whole discussion

To HLC;

When grievances raised, please do look into the matter if possible. Moderators cannot question the way a business is run but feedbacks from forummers can be a potential positive point & also potential negative point.

When you are good, ppl won't say its bad. When its bad, nothing said can be good.

But should any sentence used against HLC is found to be slandering, please do escalate to Andy & advise to pursue in a legal way.

Generally;

SBF is a platform to share almost about anything from bikes to cars to non vehicle related

All Moderators are not paid in any way or another & nor working for any bike shop.

We have been advised to look in a neutral manner & not siding any parties

Awaiting your reply,

Didn't expect this issue will go this far untill the admin and mod post here. Sorry guys if i started this thread. My point is just to know how their workmanship etc is like. The reason i am interested in their shop is cuz they got their foam wash. I mean, which bike shop in sg does that?! Lol...

Ok i think we have seen the upz and downs for this shop. And i think its time to lock this thread? What say u mods?

There is nothing wrong with genuine feedback. Discuss it with a sincere attitude, we can resolve matters.

The only issue now is unnecessary comments from ppl like xxxrated, which it seems like just out to stir troubles. And we have to think, is he fit to comment (ie is he a customer of hlc) in the first place?

ah chua long time no see... ho bo...

positive comments readers see will just see n 'hmm ok...', but when readers see neg feedback it cast a big doubt on their mind n might discourage them from patronising, but i suppose ppl will not be daft enough to believe that its not a good shop just because of vague negative comments made by some forummers. So if ppl don't elaborate their negative feedback, i suppose their feedback isn't reliable enough... maybe u can encourage ppl to talk to u if they feel tat ur staff's advice/quote/attitute is not tat good, so u can hav a chance to clarify n at least be aware of the situation...

in my honest opinion, hlc is not the cheapest and best deal around. but if u r looking for a shop tat provides good worksmanship, hlc u can consider going. i went there coz there is foam wash, thats their plus point. after servicing the bike is greasy n dirty, the foam wash cleans it up, n i found out their mech r good, so end up i went back for every servicing. just go down n give it a try, ur own experience is the best. those ppl that 'wan cheap cheap wan good good very hard to satisfy' maybe can look else where, hlc is about quality.

I just collected my sliders from them today. They actually had them prepared a week ago but I was too busy with work to collect. Chua (boss) was nice enough to let a customer wait so he can personally pass the sliders to me. Thank you for that. As for Ying Hao, as friendly as ever. Thumbs up.

Just a feedback, personally wasnt happy with the $30 charged for "labour" to check electrical systems to replace a faulty battery. Besides recommending a friend to have his bike towed to your shop.

Personally, I feel that the foam wash could be improved upon. Not that I'm complaining about the price which is pretty reasonable but after a wash, my bike which have a matt black fuel tank came out with scratches all over. Wasn't pretty happy about it and got to polishing for several hours just to remove the scratches.

Perhaps, you guys could take more notice when washing a matt black bike? Or maybe it is just my own experience and an isolated case?

I wish to inform everyone about a rogue motorshop that did not honor their agreement and hence brought me and my wife much inconvenience and displeasure. My wife wanted to buy a motorcycle and decided to patronize their shop HL Cycle at Kaki Bukit Avenue 6's AutoBay because others have talked of its good reputation. Over there, My wife found a motorcycle which she liked. We signed the hire purchase agreement immediately with an agreed downpayment of $800. I gave them $300 first and both parties agreed that the remainder will be settled a week before the bike is collected. My wife wanted to change the paintwork of the bike to her liking, and so we agreed to topped up another $300 for them to do so. I even brought down a brand new alarm system and voltmeter to be added onto her bike. We also agreed to pay for the workmanship for the installment of the two accessories. A week later, they informed us that they lost our voltmeter, but fixed the alarm. They did not bother to compensate us but i did not pursue the matter. They are aware that my wife is still waiting for her Traffic Police test. They agreed to wait when my wife informed them that she has failed her test. HL Cycle told us that the downpayment will be increased to $1300 because i have a outstanding bill as a guarantor in another agreement with another shop and they change the guarantor to my wife's sister. My wife agreed with this change. When she failed her test again, We decided to finalize the paper work with the shop, clear the remaining downpayment and start paying the installments, but continuing to leave the bike there. The shop agreed.

Here comes the atrocity. A few days later, the salesman called to inform my wife that her bike will be sold to another shop in a few days time and to come down to the shop to take back their downpayment. We rushed down but the bike was no longer there. This meant that our alarm system that was fitted onto the bike was also gone. The salesman did not bother to return their alarm system, until my wife brought it up, whereupon we were promised that it would be returned to us in a week's time. However, till now where it has been more than a week, there is still no reply. They did not consult us for discussion before selling her bike away. We were given the lame excuse that it was the boss' decision. The shop also told us that they even had a right to absorb our deposit because we had dragged for too long, but did not want to be "so bad". However, ironically, the shop had told us that they did not mind the wait. we related our experience to many friends in an non-biased way and everyone agreed that that HL Cycle is irresponsible, untrustworthy and non-customer oriented.

In summary, HL Cycle did not honor their agreement which was in black and white. Even if they wish to void the agreement, they have done so in a very inconsiderate manner to us. It is not easy to find a motorcycle and do it up to your liking. This is not just about money, but also about moral and ethics. How would you feel if after viewing many houses, you finally secured a home which you like, only to be told later that it is gone and you have to continue searching? I believe nobody will be happy with this sort of outcome. HL Cycle also refused to reveal the whereabouts of the motorcycle, and the salesman repeatedly told us that the boss is not in. This contradicts many accounts from others that the boss is friendly and helpful, as he appears to be shirking his responsibility now.

Right now, I feel that the boss himself should step forth to clarify matters with us and let both parties have a amicable settlement and closure. We decided to publish this story online in several platforms because we have tried to negotiate with them without much success. If this still does not receive HL Cycle's attention, we will not hesitate to refer this to a higher authority. Thank you all for allowing us to share this with you.

Regards,

Charlie

Hi pilots, regarding my post yesterday about my wife 's bike and hlc has been resolved. Its was purely a mis-communication between a few party.

i had a talk with mr chua and found out that he is actually a very nice guy. And he did actually try his best to help my wife to secure her bike(yingHao helped alot too) but sadly she didnt managed to pass the second time .

we never expect a simple deal would turn to this.

i am glad to know that HLC still welcome us in fact mr chua offered to find another one for my wife and I hope she pass this time round.

thanks for all your time. Me and my wife shall move on.

From my own personal experience with them. on 2009 in may or june

Bike brought to them : Customized TA 200.

I went there to buy a larger fuel tank. its a 20 Litre one i think. cuz that time i was using a Yamaha Virago tank. like 9 litres only.

The shop guy said he will source one for me. 2 days later he called up and said he got a 2nd hand fuel tank. he said will throw in a free spray for the tank so total cost is around $300. That time i was only a 3 months old biker. Not knowing anything i tried to haggle the price.

He said he will polish the tank till it shine and the spray they use is airbrushed or so. Said it will take around 3 - 4 days. And he will give my carb a free wash it clean cuz i complaint that there something wrong with the carb.

So being green i agreed. and i left my bike there for them to do whatever necessary. on the 4th day i called up and ask about my bike. They said its rainy weather the Paint is not dried. need to wait a few more days. I was like okay. By 1 week. they have yet to do up the bike. Finally i start to be demanding. They get back to me on the 9th day and told me its ready for collection. I went over there. They claim to have clean my carb, Honestly there is no difference in the feeling. He said my old tank is rusty and all. I said i want to sell it. He replied my tank fuel capacity so small. Its no value. Back then i didnt know they are supposed to return my tank to me. In other words i traded my tank for another one and top up $300 for this Suzuki Marauder tank.

Paintwork evaluation : The paint is gloss but theres waves in the paint. i cant see my own reflection. its like looking at your reflection in rippled water. The bottom of the Tank can make out the dried up drips of the paint. Its not a nice finished. I didnt want to voice out then cuz i do not know what kind of expectation is acceptable. Now i do.

So looking back at my own experience. I feel That if you dunno your stuffs well don't go there. being chop is part of the learning process i guess. Anyway if they happen to read my post. I am not bullshitting. FV 1247L. See if your memory serve u well.
