Hi Jay When after a hard ride, and you come to park you bike, just imagine how hot the bike is? The highest temperature of the engine is the time that you switch off your engine whlist the fan still moving.(no more heat exchange from the radiator and all the heat will built up in the engine. you can just off the engine and move off, the bike are cater for this kind of torture, but it good to let the fan goes off before switching the engine off. The above is only just my 2 cents thought

Hi Sexyh PC3 is not a must for after market pipe, but it will improve the fuel mapping if you put a PC3. MotoWorld has a set of (the only set) BB original side pannier, you can check with them about the price. Maybe you can check ebay, they are selling around US$800 per set (without shipping)

BB pannier

Hi EarlyBird and paul mai, found out that Motorworld sells the Panniers. They are stated as $2000.00 for a complete set. And they have it only in the bright blue. Will think about it and save up to acquire them. But i need to ask around for a good painter cos it does not match my bike colour. Maybe they will give me a discount if i ask my buddy friend to go along with me (Kazuma).

Will try to see whether i can make it for this Saturday's event (20/01/2007). Wonder how the weather will be then, hope it will be fine!

BUY A CARBURETTOR MODEL THEN! HAHAHAH! :cheeky:

Guys!? May I ask..How much is a carb Blackbird cost? The latest plate? :help:

Some biker once said " If u haven't been to Gerik, U haven't been touring in Malaysia".

The original honda panniers are well attached to the bike. Why i know this cos i just switched over from my VFR and also has the similiar mountings and panniers. Does not shake like the sideboxes i also had on my former Beemer K model.

Only setback is that cost little more than expected. But the panniers are quite water proof. Now better start saving....... :lovestruck:

Ranging from 5k ~ 7k depend on condition and age of bike. shouldn't be more than 8k for a normal carb model.

Took over the bike from Gweester on Monday afternoon, went to Looi's and changed egine oil and flush coolant. Looi's gave me a sample od S100 cleaning fluid and used it this morning at the car wash centre's gasoline stand near my house and applied the S100 just before i got my bike wash, now spick and spank, but still some grim at small corners.

Hey, the S100 work wonders, really takes out dirt especially around the rim, fork and disc area. The BB rides well and my temperature seems to hover around the higher 90s too 100 degrees area, is it ok?

Love the ride, a little heavy, but i like it the weight cos it makes me feel planted on the road. Stability is good. Still need to source around for extra cash in the near future to invest on the panniers. Thanks anodise57 for the tip on the pricing.

Anyway should you guys meet up soon might try to make it. Are many going to the BBQ this Saturday

I also heard that it affects the first batch of bikes only namely year 99 perhaps. Try looking around for 2001 and above models, for year 2000 and 2001 you might be able to get at near $10-12.5K depending on condition of the bike. Do not worry too much on small cosmetics cos can be easily repaired. Look for engine condition and frame intergrity. :goodluck:

I think 2001 bike should cost much much less than $10k........I remember one guy sold his for $8k negotiable a year ago? Now should be lesser.

That depends on rare ocassion. Just bought my BB less than a month. Been sourcing around for almost 2 months. 8K for a 2001 BB is a steal, provided is in good working condition. Bike shops are asking around 11-11.5K without insurance and transfer. I have checked out many shops during these 2 months.

Trust me, i have done my homework. Anyway :goodluck: to your hunting for a good deal.
