Changing clutch spring will shave a few seconds in straight line acceleration but if makes your rear sketchy if you dont brake...blip...and roll when downshifting into a bend...Worst thing the rear can lockup and send you "Singgah Selalu" to the railing or crash barrier...

 

There's no way a bird can be on par with busa n kawaki 12 or 14...Bird is an old bike lah..juz enjoy the smoothness of the powerband....Big one piece rider n pillion seats...and enjoy the milf looking at you...coz when they were in the 20's,blackbird was the ride...:thumb:

 

This why the 2 crackos is riding the Blackbird and still keeping them.Soon there will be more crackos around...wakakakakakaka

Hi pilots,is it recommended to change to steel braided hose or will the stock brake hose suffice.thought of changing to fren tubo.any reviews?due to e cost involve,i hope to gather feedbacks first.thank u all.

Spring not available.... very rare... must be too many bird riders buy it fix liao... So i put on waiting list..... My bird also KIV like that no clutch spring cannot fly leh....

 

Bro, You can consider buying EBC clutch plate and clutch spring through Ebay.

Bro that spring looks like for centrifugal clutch like in scooters...Another way to make the bike fly is to ghostride it off 2ndlink bridge...EKKEKE!!

BB is an old bike...some more than 10 years old..There are a few bb bros who had their hoses failed after more than 8 years...Best is to get the brake and clutch hose changed to the new braided hose...

 

Frentubo is a good brand...I like their wierd bling2 colour like luminous pink or green..other option is to use starperformance brake hoses but this kit only comes if you delink the brake system...

Bros I got some items to dekit.

 

Original Honda VFR handlebars, one pair (left and right). Very common mod for blackbird riders to raise the handlebar position so you don't have to stretch so far to the bars. Really makes the ride much more comfortable. Asking $150.

 

Original Haynes service manual for Honda Blackbird CBR1100XX. Asking $35.

Yup, me just telling through experience, by the way that most of busa rider told me that they are forbier upon straight road, as the bike got front braking issue, most of them complaining that they usually will not brake in time, upon that many of them change to an after braking system, (brake rotor, brake pump, brake line). So tis is one advantage for bird on the straight rd, no hesitation as the CBS will do their great job to stop accordinglly....

To the guy thinking of changing his hoses...

are u going to

i) use cbs

ii) delink cbs

If using CBS the full set of hoses fr HEL ain't cheap

delink can use star hoses (wif install $480)

Hel hoses which I trail & error to delink is cheaper (wif install below $400)

Hoses are all the same...

as long steel-braided gd enuf liao as rubber will expand over time.

& nt forgetting the clutch hose as well....

yeah i rmb ah beng also told me this issue, telling me busa stock front brake is always CMI.. the braking is the same as blackbird's delinked CBS, using the stock pump kit. have to press till the end then it feels like its going to stop. haha.. i tried delinked CBS with stock pump kit...

True bro i support your experience...Delink and using stock front master pump is a killer sia...Almost rear end into a car the morning before i got my brembos...Straight away go Unique to change my brake pump...Now saving up for brembo clutch pump...Still remember how syiok it feels when i stroked bro jimmy's brembo clutch pump...Like mcm effortless sia...

 

Dual cbs is great for tour riding long bends like karak highway...but when you ride like a mad man in cameron highland twisties,kuala kubu bahru(towards fraser hills) and Bukit Tinggi. The brakes feels like a clown..
