Whats the difference between the old 05 model and the new 06 models. cause im thinkg whether to get the older or brand new. apart from the wear and tear from old bike, which is better between these 2?

i only know that the petrol cap is placed different place, guess the rims are different sizes and also the deisgn of the body panels. any others?

however i prefer the older design but its no harm to get a new one. doing caparison here. thanks

 

both hav the same engine...new 1 has a totally different out look n chassis design, longer wheelbase n bigger wheels..

 

well if u like the old 1 then get the old 1..anyway the vxr05 has 12" rims which u can find easily the best scooter tyres to fit on them

i was in the same dilemma as you when deciding between the VXR '05 & '06 model. well, i settled for the '05 model. why? i prefer the sleekness of the design. it looks more compact compared to the '06 model.

mechanic told me that its my Perspective cos i ride the runner too long already then my feeling is playing tricks on me.

from 249km full tank to 210km full tank. "Guess my eyes really playing tricks on me"

 

Oh yeah, Open Pod only $60 as in the whole set or just the air filter thing?

so much bout the open pod thing. some find it useful, some find it not..

btw, do anyone know why my bike produce a rattling sound when i accelerate? it only happens during the first throttle. the sound is not so lud nor discreet. i just did a full service. in case u wanna know what i did:

 

-malossi kevlar belt

-malossi 12.5 rollers

-denso spark plugs

-EO

-gear oil

-clean transmission

-clean airbox

 

i think that should be it...

recently i changed my open pod back to airbox.. den i feel dat using airbox is totally diff from open pod.. for me airbox is better.. u can feel d smooth on ur ride..

might be the belt slapping on the crankcase. Common symptom of the malossi x-kevlar belt

Hi, any SP180 rider here? Can this bike endure long distance riding? Eg 40km per trip?

Air box is better if you want it to be better lah.. depends on what you wanna

achieve. Air box not as noisy! =D

Yeah.. No problem with such long distances. Clocked 180km on a single ride.

Bike never gave me any problems. =D

With proper tuning, it is possible to achieve slightly better performance

with an open pod. Not to worry, its still worth getting. I got an extra..

i just bought a runner 180 sp...

I face a prob dunno wether u have it befor or have it repair befor, if can teach me wad to do...

When i pick up at traffic light..Going fast,(40 -80) suddely throttle no power, once u trottle, the enjine even no power, than stop and enjine store...lol....

Auto bike also will store...lol...I dunno y....

Just went to Tai hin repair also like that.....

It indicate the bat sign.....isit time for new bat or need to wash cab already.....?

This is really getting bad to worst.....Now i don dare to ride fast any more....and always keep to extrem left lane.....

i don't know if it's the same problem i have with my VXR recently. mine when throttle... engine can run but then feels like engine is choking or something. when left idling, it died.

 

when to Future to check and found out that the rubber tubing (don't know the name) from carb to engine has a tear. after change, no problems liao...
