i don't know if it's the same problem i have with my VXR recently. mine when throttle... engine can run but then feels like engine is choking or something. when left idling, it died.

 

when to Future to check and found out that the rubber tubing (don't know the name) from carb to engine has a tear. after change, no problems liao...

i just bought a runner 180 sp...

I face a prob dunno wether u have it befor or have it repair befor, if can teach me wad to do...

When i pick up at traffic light..Going fast,(40 -80) suddely throttle no power, once u trottle, the enjine even no power, than stop and enjine store...lol....

Auto bike also will store...lol...I dunno y....

Just went to Tai hin repair also like that.....

It indicate the bat sign.....isit time for new bat or need to wash cab already.....?

This is really getting bad to worst.....Now i don dare to ride fast any more....and always keep to extrem left lane.....

check your carb manifold, vacuum tubes, fuel pump, fuel cork, reed valves, fuel tubes n carb condition.

Hi Jason, i think malossi open pod around $165 include (air jack + oil jack + boost). Including turning & fix. You can try ask few shop to compare.

Sounds like overfloat. Check your plug and fuel in-take. Idling dont set too high also.

turn your engine on and leave it alone (no throttling). now, that's idling. you can set your engine's idling to high or low by turning a screw (with spring) on the carburetor.

So i'm in a dilema whether should i buy COE for my old runner or get a new runner '06?

yo bro, nice to c u still riding the scoot...anyway I guess itz abt time for u to do a review on ur FXR if it can last you for another few more years wifout a huge headache anot b4 u decide to renew or change. Like for my ride in order to last till the end of 10yrs I hav to do a huge reconditioning project.

 

Remember always by 10yrs, too many parts within the bike had worked enuff n will ask for retirement pretty soon so u hav to review HOW MANY of these parts do u hav n the cost of replacing them

even so, ppl would like to listen to the reviews of diff types of open pod in the market. so that newbies who's in dillema like me can decide which one to choose. currently the open pods that i know of is malossi, k&n, hurricane and polini. which is better? hurricane is out cos it drinks too much petrol. what about the other 3... any riders who knows care to share? thanks a million...

bro, open pod, like all the seniors said, main purpose is to have an unrestrictive air flow to the carb for better combustion. the main reason tat fuel consumption is on the high side is bcos u need to change the jettings to fully utilise the extra air going in. better if u change to a racing carb.

 

so if u are thinking only to fix the filter, than it will only serve as a filter, imo, the stock shd be better. but then again.. its ur choice ..

It does not mean that any particular brand will kill your FC by alot. Depends

on a few things, riding style, A/F settings, jetting. All depends where

you want your power to come in.

Go for a pipe that suits your riding style. As a 2-stroker, we don't have much

of a choice with regards for pipes..
