guess only hassle free full settlement is when you do it upfront

 

btw, how many people actually bother to read through meticulously the contract they're entering into? seems most will just sign on the dotted line assuming that terms and conditions in it is the "norm", i'm equally guilty at times

when things go wrong, the nightmares start

 

FYI, there's a Unfair Contract Terms Act which helps to ensures that contracts are fair to all parties. however, onus is on the contesting party to prove that the contested term(s) or clause is(are) unfair... mostly pretty tough

even the hire purchase. by right if there any early settlement fee, according the the hire purchase act, the owner need to show and calculate the early settlement fee to the hirer..

Don even think about having rebate if u do early settlement.......

Hi guys, today i have finally make my move purchasing the silver SW 400 JDM with looi's Mr Lee. After 2wk of infor seeking, struggle between few 400cc bikes of burgman, Xevo , SW and also T-max 500... finally make up my mind due to soft spot for parallel twin... Hope to join u guys soon for kopi session or malaysia riding.... now waiting for my buddy to make his move to get the black SW ( looi's too ) after he settle his atlantic

 

My purchase : $12.5K otr inclusive of iu, no. plate transfer , ins. 2nd party (29yo ), all admin fee... no extra chargers & no headache .

dun mind me asking, why didn't u get the Euro version one? its quite a bit of difference in terms of power and resale value. so i suppose this is a PI bike? cos Boon Siew bikes are now the Euro version.

Yes, looi's motor get honda bikes directly from japan, its a PI bike. maybe i lazy to go bike hunting, that why settle down with looi's. actually i did read up in this thread regards the euro infor... but as long as SW serve its purpose i'm ok with it even thou its not latest model.

its not abt getting the latest model. JDM & Euro are 2 different specs. different in performance. thus resale value and demand also different. unless u gonna ride this bike for the whole COE.

anodise57 and bigcow are friendly chaps, i've had kopi with them both don't get them wrong on the comments about buying the JDM instead of euro, they're just sharing their experience with the SW. btw, anodise57 rides a JDM which he has put in quite a bit of effort to make it better i also got my SW from ah lee but its a boon siew euro, didn't know he got PI

 

do continue to enjoy the delight of riding a SW... i'm still delighted with my ride even after few months on it, in sillypore and also trips in malaysia. hope to keep it that way

the only thing that turn be off for JDM is that there isn't any HISS system.

did ah piau advise you on running-in the SW?

 

anyway, the SW comes with 2 keys and 1 will be kept at looi's if your bike is under installment. if you intend to go cruising in malaysia or thailand, strongly suggest you have at least 2 keys (1 operational in bike and another as standby in pouch or pocket). we have friends who misplaced their bike keys while on trips out of sillypore and damn, its trouble liow. the SW has HISS and runs on CVT; without the programmed key, "pick" the ignition and push till you drop also cannot start engine

as for myself, i have 3... 1 for riding, 1 as standby when on trips, and 1 permanently at home

Haven got my bike yet... today jus confirm purchase, Mr lee say 3days can get, but i tell him no hurry as still got TA200 to zham si tong. beside ah piau cant recongnise the rest of faces, even meng tong go to mah motor i also dont know... thanks for the concerns of the keys, will make spare for standby.
