I just failed my lesson 6.2. The instructor who was in charge told me that i wasn't confident when doing right turns on the road, as in those turns with a single white line without traffic light.

 

I don't know why but i just get really nervous and paranoid thinking that another vehicle is just going to zoom across the road when I'm turning even though it's still far away.

 

Even changing lanes to the right is an issue. Whenever I'm checking my blindspot, there's always a cab zooming pass, resulting in me checking my blindspot several times. From there, the instructor told me that i wasn't confident in myself to do lane changing and right turns.

 

I'll be glad if you guys could share some tips for me to overcome my nervousness on the road.

Right turns:

You can try imagining that u are crossing the road. If u can go, try to go.

I'm sure the bike can move off faster than someone crossing the road.

 

Changing lane:

You said....

This means you are not looking at ur mirrors enough.

 

If u check the mirror, and u see a vehicle coming close, Will u change lane? No right??... So need to check Blindspot? Don't Need. Why check blindspot when u can't change lane?

 

Many pple keep checking blinspots becuz of no confidence in the mirrors and end up using their own eyes to look behind instead. If there's a Fast car, but far behind, u will not be able to see it by checking blinspot. Even though far.. but if u change lane, u will slow down that car, becuz he's appoaching at a very fast speed

 

Practice more mirror checking. Make ur blinspot the last thing u do unitl u're sure there's no car in the mirror

 

To some Pple, y they keep checking blinspots becuz the fear of getting 4 points during the test.. Will the tested give points if u dont check mirror? They cant becuz they cant see u checkin mirror. If we came out a rule that fail to check mirror b4 lane changing will cost u 10points, lots of pple will check mirrors. Mirrors are very important. Btw, class 3 drivers will get 2 points for not checking mirrors.

 

TO ALL QUALIFIED 2B RIDERS, Espeically those riding SportsBike....

PLEASE USE YOUR MIRRORS.. I see so many sportsbike riders leave their mirrors folder. For what??? Looks nicer without mirrors?

I nearly had an accident with some of them who served infront of me when i was approaching. Even i noticed them check blindspot.. still swerve in front of me...

 

Please... use ur mirrors... Signal early.... blinspot.. change lange gradually.

Numerous occasion near-misses...

 

End up i learn something..... behind them..... give them a HORN! ... a loud one...

Technically nothing wrong cos horn them to prevent accident. :angel:

i gueess SSDC really small compare to BBDC,

 

This year... Biased.. .only honda.... Only when i decided to give other brand a try......... THEY INSISTED ONLY honda... so be it. .let them have fun.. >WTF man..... Not freaking fair.. They scared other bikes fare better in their narrow plank ( last yr a DRZ 400 got tops), Salom Palom i think was a Kup kia got tops, .....Oh well...

Good luck for the event man..

 

haha last yr the guy who won it was my fren on a xr400.. he was an ex-MP rider which prob explains his 40 plus sec timing.
