if u guys wanna go the retro way or classic replicas with modern options.. go for it why not?

 

after all we share the same passion, the motorcycles, the rides, under the same sun, kena the same rain..

appreciate what we have now, its more accessible to own different kind of rides with a lot more choices than before..

 

go for that dream ride of yours, it will surely put a smile on your face every time u crank her up

ok ok i know its really intimidating to see a group of big loud ape hanging bikers outside your house..

especially when your lovely daughter is on the back seat of an ugly mofo whom u disapprove of? hehe..

i agree on riding your dream bike.. but are we on correct discussion.. "are harley really worth it?"

 

in terms of $$ value and capabilities..

 

is it best bike so i have it... or

 

i have it so it is best bike..

 

if i can get 10year old XL1200 for 6,000$, i'll buy it for sure.. coz it's worth the value..

 

but for paying top $$... i'd rather go for something more meaningful..

Well they did design those systems for sportbikes initially for well, going faster. Since you put it that way then yeah, I agree. Harleys still don't use them though, probably could do with traction control because their torque peaks earlier at lower revs as said before.

 

Seen a Harley rider throw himself into the tarmac from the get go because he put in too much gas somewhere near Plaza Sing if I'm not wrong.

Why do you need sport bike tech on a cruiser? A cruiser is supposed to cruise. Period. Sport bikes are supposed to go fast, if you're complaining a sport bike isn't comfortable, you shouldn't be riding one.

 

nobody is complaining... ezzyoiler talk about state-of-the-art technology.. but i couldnt find any..

Unfortunately, Harley made some of stupid decisions, one of them was screwing up Buell. They were using HD engines and parts, HD bikes are a far cry from performance, its not a mystery why Buell didn't sell.

another thing abt the industry.. not only abt us endusers, look at broader scenario

 

for eg. history of motorcars & motorcycles company's acquisition after acquisitions?

for me i think its a happening bike to ride, different feel with different characteristics

 

also if compare depreciation value against brand new price tag, we cant blame the bike

with the profit mark ups + our gov tax system + cpf + medisave + edusave + aftershave..
