Tomorrow I'll be booking for a 2b license from CDC

Overall, counted, cost should not exceed $350-400

And also planned to get a 2nd hand scooter, 180 to 200cc

But, insurance, how much would it cost?

I heard that sports bikes and scooters insurances' got different prices? is it true?

How fast can I complete my 2b license theories and tests?

How much does it cost on average to maintain an automatic scooter

Yeah, now concentrate on getting license first.

You sure you only need $350-$400 to get the license?

If you really did, I would say you are a born rider..

I myself, spend around 1k.. :(

Even you pass every practical once, I think you still will spend more than $400

@yongwei92

for the cost of insurance, call the insurance company and ask. its true that sports bike and scooter insurance prices are different.

if you got the skills and time to go for lessons daily you will pass quite quickly. but usually the waiting time for tp or theory test can take up to 2 weeks to 1 month

The waiting time for tp and all ur theory test can easily wait up to 6 months.... Anyway i tink near impossible to get license with $400, i also tink i super "pro" in riding bicycle but still spent around $800 to pass, motorbike is totally diff from bicycle.... Some lessons very hard to pass on first try, specially evaluations....

Insurance best is call the insurance company, scooter, sport bike and even naked bike all have diff insurance prices, differs sometime from model to model also

Well, your friends are right. Insurance are usually paid one lump sum without installments.

And also, dont think you can do less than $400. Not to say you not good or what, but if you realize, everyone in the forum find it difficult to pass with that budget used. The average range is normally about maybe $600 to 1k plus.

600-800 is a humble amount.

Yes, insurance can be paid by installments. cheers

i spent 1k and i dunno of any biker frens who spent under 800 all in for 2b, altho we all spent 400+ only for each 2a and 2.

300-400 is essentially every lesson and test take and pass first time. dam it man, i should have spent more time cycling to be natural born rider and read books before i took my 2b. could have saved me more than half a k in expenses.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

Can try calling GNG motors. they told me. havent got around doing it but i plan to do on my next renewal.

The main point is, get license then say. I know ur excitement I was there too, totally unbearable man.

Jehuty is right, even the best buang. Whether is it a major or minor buang is how you ride. My 1st accident is 4 days after I got my bike, lol!~

IMO I find that after each accident I learnt a lot from it, dont ya think so? =)

Oh and, getting a license with 400 bucks..sorry to say, its impossible. Even if you relax to the max u will still spend around 800-1k, I spent 1.4 getting my 2b~

Sometimes spending lesser money doesn't mean it's a good thing..

I do have fren that told me that before.. He mentioned that he spend around 1k+ and around 9mths to get his 2B..

His friends all spend around $500-600+ and within 3mths.. all began laughing at him and tease him..

His friends all got into accident just 2-3mths of riding their new bike.. While my fren don't have any accident up till now.. 7years and still counting :D

Thanks guys, yeah after thinking awhile , I kinda feel that taking more lessons before officially riding out seems better. Just booked my theory lessons and trial test, theory lessons are "free" right?

Nothing's free here. The theory lessons are included in the amount you paid for enrolment.

If you miss the lesson or are late, you have to pay again when you book it.

hey ts. i've just pass my tp. im a cyclist from young too!! :D

it took me only 1 try for every lessons that i have but still spend $600+ overall.

a cyclist may naturally have the balancing skill of a bike but u must also consider clutch/trottle/braking control.

so good luck bro!! ;)

Theory is mostly for your knowledge. You have to ride to learn anything useful, no amount of theory is gonna help. Schools aren't gonna teach you that some drivers are just more dangerous than others, for example, drivers who stay on middle of lane dividers are confused mofos, never tailgate a cab, old women drivers are dangerous etc.

What they taught you isn't always what you should do. For example, schools don't recommend filtering, good luck with following behind cars during jams and if jam braking won't give you enough stopping distance but you can take evasive action, what do you do?

Riding up north opens up a whole can of things you should be aware of as well./
