From the legal perspective, both the Spec3 and ST riders are at fault. The Spec 3 rider parked on the double yellow line which is designed to keep people from parking there. It is an offence to park any vehicle there anytime. So the Spec3 rider is asking for trouble by parking there. It constitutes to an offence that warrants a fine and some points. However, instead of getting caught up by the law, the Spec3 rider got his 'due punishment' through the ST rider who failed to ride in accordance to the flow of traffic commits an offence by turning into the slip road in reverse direction. The ST rider was also 'punished accordingly' by hitting the Spec3 sustaining damages to his motorcycle. Both of the riders sustained some damages on their motorcycles but fortunately have their points intact. So justice is served for both riders. I will suggest that both riders know their position and not escalate it to the authorities. By then, both of you may be slapped with points and fine on top of the damages sustained on your bikes.

 

Be wise, not foolhardy.

that's was what most of us thot,that's why it's imteresting how will it be any different from bikers if it make it idac or court.

STX rider, why not pay and settle it? Report S4, S4 got slap with $70 + self repair.. (If insurance tio claim, insurances next year go up) Sigh~

Is the ST rider a Traffic or LTA officer? Because if he is, then he can say that he can report S4 rider and fine the S4 rider. And it can then happen with the ST Rider identifying himself as a person with that authority that can summon and he completed the summon papers.

 

OTHERWISE ST Rider is totally at fault for not controlling his vehicle and hitting a stationary item. Which is the S4.

 

WHICH MEANS. ST RIDER is claimable and responsible for all damages. And S4 rider should have no qualms claiming for the S4 damages.

I believe the situation like this, S4 rider park bike near a bike shop, illegally but touch your heart, touch your balls and scratch it, who doesn't do so? STX rider makes illegal turn and runs into the bike. Now we all do illegal things, that's not the issue, why make it much much bigger when you could have just paid the damn 30 bucks?

 

Everyone makes mistakes. Even if its clearly your fault, if its minor, could be sorted out quickly, if both are reasonable, can come down to a decision. Its not as if you langgar him at 120 km/h and broke his frame in half. Singapore already run by assholes, don't make it more difficult than it already is.

 

Why not just pay the 30 bucks? I assume its ego over reason.

i've already report and proceed with the claim against him. All i can say is the claim is not the friendly $30 anymore. Just waiting for outcome now. Thanks all for the response. Will keep you guys updated by then :)
