After reading and considering, I bought the U Clear Communicator.

I find able to take mobile call by saying "hello", boomlessness, and voice clarity - 3 big pluses!!!

I need to resolve the bike to bike range with more experience.

Is U Clear WT300PTT the answer?

http://www.uclear-digital.com/WT300PTT.html

Help! Help!

Is U Clear compatible with GPS Garmin Zumo 660? I asked this as

1. I am considering to buy 660.

2. Was unable to pair them ( tried to pair my U Clear with a friend's Zumo 660 but failed).

3. I read about compatibility issue http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcyc...100/part-2.htm and I am now confused.

Thanks in advance !!!

Cool, Mate!

Drop me a PM should you require assistance in getting them from you know where...

As for the Volume...at high speed... It greatly depends on the position of the Speakers to your ear... I could hear music up to speed of 160km/hr (+/-)...

But please understand that the wind protection and type of bike you are riding on also plays an important part... As you go faster...(Speed Wise).. Engine Vibration, aerodynamics Drag on the helmet (Causing Helmet Noise) increases... these factors also contribute to the volume you are able to "Hear"...

I have installed Uclear in both my Half-Face (MJR), Full Face (HJC FG-15) & Modular (Flip-Up / Nolan N90) Helmets... the Audio Feed is best with the Full Face Helmet.

The helmet to helmet is hands free... with no buttons to engage unlike the common Walki-talki...

Cheers!

Additionally, The wind noise, can say, starts from even at 80kmh BUT clarity and volume from the headset help. Helmet type plays a significant role to "Hear" ....

U-Clear without the boom, you guess, really captivates me. The tiny microphone "hidden" or "tucked away" should lessen wind blasting on it.

I like the smallness without compromising quality sound. Also long battery life. BUT it loses out in distance intercom and clipping sturdiness.

Hi Mate,

I would like to help you resolve the issue that you are having with the Zumo 660 as I'll be laying my hands on one very soon...

As such, could you drop me an PM with your contact so I could co-ordinate with some one who could help us in pairing up this two Devices...

I ever ask the Professor who engineered this Device during the Launch at Motorworld.. . why wasn't the distance extended between rider to rider... His reason to me sounded "Sound";

~ Life Span of the Batt will be significantly shorter due to the additional Gizmo's power requirement.

~ An bigger housing is required that will affect both the weight and aerodynamics of the housing.

~ Pricing...

To Me....

It's not How fast you go... It's how FAR you Travel...:thumb:

It's the Rider! Not the Bike! o_O

Hmm... Hbc-100 U-Clear, cbr400rr at gear 6, rpm 10-11 still can hear the music very very clearly... So, does it still have anything to do with the bike or is it just the brand??? Lol...

Yes, as well said, bike type and helmet type are factors in wind noise. Also in more details - then there are factors like windshield design and height, rider's height and posture, handlebar design. Then speed plays a very significant part!

Wind noise and engine sound are competing sounds - you may need to increase the volume of the music you hear from any headset.

what brand and where are you getting it??

U clear hbc100 from motoworld... If I'm not wrong, they're giving discount if buy in pairs... 1 set for $180, 2 set for $150/each... I think...

I can't remember if the offer still available... Cos the last time I bought it was in 2009 or 2010... And it spoil only now... Quite worth it.. Weatherproof, background noise cancellation, very clear sound... To me it's better than those headsets with the mic hanging outside... >_
