Hi guys gotten my class2 for awhile already, looking for a suitable street bike but i'm quite short...any recommendations?? THANKS

Aaron,

1) Personally for me the priority for a desire bike depends on how the bike will be used for. Example tracking, off roads, touring, leaisure, transport, speed trills etc

2) Budget OTR and subsequent cost like insurance, road tax etx

3) Maintainance facts/ availability of spare parts

4) Outlook/ style

There are quite a variety of choices for Class 2.

But for me if I were to choose i would classified as follows

Yamaha R6 - Best for Tracking and good power but not advisable for daily transport cox of riding posture may be high for shorter guys.

Yamaha Fz6 - Transport, touring

Ducati Monster - Style, Outlook

Kawasaki Ninja - Superb power and pickup and speed but spare parts nt easily available

Suzuki Gsxr600 - Comparable to cbr600 with more high end power and other in built gadgets like gear indicator

Honda Cbr600 - Best all rounder bike which combines most of everything.

Best between 600 - 1000cc. GSXR750

I recommend Cbr600.

Rode before and it was exceptionally easy to ride. Superb corner handlings. Had damned good fun going track playing cornerings! Good riding postures, outlook is good. Good low and mid range power. Super smooth transmission. Pick up and power I feel lose to other brands. But if looking for good milleage, I recommend '09 and above model. Friends riding and can hit above 260km before reserves.

Hope is useful. See you on the road soon!!!

Triumph Street Triple. Middle class, 3 cylinder, torquey. Maintenance same as Japan bike. Price cheaper than Japan bikes.

Fazer 600. Like it been compact and "short"... lightweight, quite good handling.

Depends on your usage mate... SpeedKiller hit the nail on the head

And also your interest... If you are worried about height, then the sports and street bikes are quite low.

Its very hard to recommend cos we may say that Fazer(for example) is a good choice but what you really want is a Steed or Shadow.

Maybe you can elaborate on what your usage is and what kinda style you prefer based on your experience in Class 2B/2A.

Then we can help better.

Its not about hard you can hit, its about how many times you can take a hit and remain standing
