Too many prankster to keep a bike?

Passed my TP on 16th november. Bought an sp at 23rd november. The normal people would be busy grooming his bike now, but I find myself hunting down prankster and thief most of the time, talking to police trying to find as much info as possible for the investigation. Why? What had I done wrong? 5 days after i bought the bike, the bike fuel tank cover was scratched badly. The paint work is new as the shop keeper had resprayed my bike when I bought it. I do not know why the person did that. My bike was parked nicely far away from the Uncle's scooter beside me that night, and I can't imagine him doing it.

 

2 days later at school, some itchy hand student plucked off my left rear mirror with brute force and place it on my rider's seat, i went home without a left rear mirror that day and went to my house's nearby motorbike repair shop at chinese garden to replace it. However this is not the end, after I'm done, still pissed, I went home, park my bike at B2 storey multi storey carpark just directly in the direction of a CCTV, (i purposely choose the lot with CCTV directly on it,) and went home to take a break after such a bad day and had a fever the next day..

 

Next day I return to ride to school, entire left foot rest and gear shifter is gone, only the 2 bearings from it were left under my bike.

 

Just why did people aim at me? Because my bike plate started off with FU****J?

Or because my paint work is just too good and basically you discriminate P plate riders and think it doesn't suits me?

I worked hard for the bike, but I'm giving up soon all because of this people.. It seems impossible to handle them.. at least for a new rider.

Now I had called people down to towed it away for a look, but its going to be 100+ at least, I dont know what else had he done yesterday night. Sigh.. xiao ren in Singapore.. really nothing i can do???

That's a sucky ownership experience, my sympathies. Since the foot rest & gear lever were stolen when under CCTV, have there been any leads from that? Hope you manage to find the culprit... such lowlife scum give all bikers a bad name

They say they will investigate. Took down some photo and gave me an investigation card. I'm not expecting alot..

I find this even tougher than TP.. I really want to know the reason why i'm aimed. Can my 3rd party insurance that I spent so much buying do anything?>

best bet is to outright change bike..

will save you some hairs & will most probably stop yr paranoia.

Could it be your bike too loud? Then Everytime start bike will blow blow to warm up engine? I know some idiots do that and it pisses me off, esp in the early morning.

i dont go beyond 6 rpm, though i did warm it up abit so the engine wont die.. sigh any solution?

I think you really very suey, but think, have you ever offended people in these few months or years? Otherwise, try installing a bike alarm and set it to the highest sensitivity. This may not work, but the alarm noise may scare off the thief. But if you catch them in action, its time for you to rage and call the cops.

if u are, i was the one who put the mirror on your bike. It was found broken from the joint beside your bike... i was the one who picked it up for u and put it on your seat before it was crushed and broken.

maybe it's the noise, not one will particularly aim at you..

make friends with your neighbours (bikers)..

 

cover your bike or install alarm like the rest said..

i wun go Msia if i'm down on luck like you, worst thing that can happen to your bike in Msia is that it'll just be stolen..

Maybe previous owner is an 'S' so when you bought over people aim the bike not knowing you are the new owner.

yup i am the one who PICKED IT UP FOR YOU. not the one who BROKE IT. I see your bike like got one 'ears' less, then i saw a mirror on the floor.. so i picked it up for u.... At least if u are really broke u can super glue it back for the time being.. better than picking up a broken mirrored one right.

 

i know being newbie is tough... no $.. things got spoilt etc etc. haah. take it easy la. though sometimes its really everything else against you... but everyone will go thru it la... Haha.

 

btw i cant rmb when i saw it.. i rmb it shld be a weds or tuesday morning. ard 10 to 11am .. shld be 2 weeks or 3 weeks ago la.. i was outside LT51a. cant rly rmb the exact time.. but it shld be ard these dates as i rmb i was out for a lecture break ...

you do not know me, trust me im perhaps one of the most lenient sp rider to my engine, i make it 6 just to warm up my bike so it wont die off, and its usually less than 1 sec, because my bike, about 10 years old dies alot especially with headlights on, on the engine, leave it a neutral gear with headlights on and attend a phone call without any throttle supply for 30sec and it will die itself. i came home before 5 on the day of the incident. i kick up to gear 2 once it hit about 5/6 when i travel in multi storey, i change to gear 1 only when im climbing up slope. because it dies easily if i move up a slope at gear 2 if i go slowly finding parking lots.

 

you can easily find another sp rider going up to 10-11 just to move off. I had never drag my engine pass 8 even when i'm pacing up from rest going into expressway.

Its usually around 5/6, and theres usually no other bikes slower than me in moving off. some vesper/scooters are faster than me

who knows you have offended people before you even started riding, or offended people while you were not riding. then those who got offended take it out on your bike since you just got a new bike..
