Most of my friend suggest me not to upgrade to 2a Sports Bikes because most of them are problematic is it true?

Most of their replies are like this spoil fix liao later that one spoil. Can make your pocket tear 4k-5k just by fixing.

So which bike for 2a is less problematic, as im still a student go no time to go bikeshop every week repair..

I need a upgrade as my 2b bike is rather slow on expressway sometimes i do need the pick up to change lane...

get Super 4?

To ride on the road, You need skills,Stamina, or even luck.

But to be a good rider, you have to change with your environment, and adjust yourself to its rhythm.

Cultivate the confidence to face the different situations. Don't let yourself to be subdued by the environment :thumb:

Do understand that most of the 2a sport bikes are more than 10 years old. So naturally you will need to fork out more in the long run for wear and tear.

Like what sky said, get a s4. It's reliable, sufficient power and you can get the newer ones. Only downside might be a lil more ex as compared to the sport bikes which you have in mind.

if you plan on getting a good RVF or CBR , it really depend on luck or owner really take good care of the bike. Or must well save up for class 2, if not u got to throw in alot of $$$ on the class 2A bike.

Recommend you to get a S4.

hmmm... even if its a s4 thou new and no need to spend much on wear and tear could have a lot of difference on ur expenses compared to a 2b bike... the regular servicing and maintaining and also the price of parts should a part wear off (s4 unless its revo or spec 3 can be quite old already problems will also be there) could be high... let alone getting an old bike where there can be a lot of wear and tear problems, your expenses could have doubled or even tripled ur current expenditure... if you really wanna upgrade better to make sure you got enough income to cushion all this... =) and for me bike is not just abt the age. the previous owner also play a very important part.. if the previous owner of a s4 revo dun take care of it not even the simple servicing, just ride and go nia den might as well dun get even if its new... problems will still occur.. this kind of thing is just situational thats what i feel..

rode cbr400 b4 and had loads of problems but i nva regret it cos i learnt a lot... now riding rvf and i promised myself i have to get a gd cond one and i sort of did as tis current bike of mine is considered to be in gd cond... minimal problems and smooth and powerful just the perfect one for me..

its better you make that decision urself den people ask you to get the bike you would not like.. =)

Riding a CBR400RRN Currently, So far not much problems. But I did redo the wiring the moment i got the bike.

A Few of my friends are riding RVFs also not too much problems. but yeah as the guy previously said, the bikes

is more of luck but it helps if you get a trusted third-party, a friend or an acquaintance who rides 2A sports bikes to

check the bike for you at the shop, because some problems, usually those with the brakes, forks and severe engine wear

are more obvious.

i am also considering to buy a cbr400. or a cb400. the newer s4 are much more expensive though. tough decision, i cant make up my mind

But have much better resale value.

The thing about 2A sport bikes is that they have don't have as much power as class 2, their resale value ain't that good other than the RVF which people sometimes take advantage to sell you a lemon at jacked up prices. As far as power goes, ZXR4, RVF and the 2 strokes seems to take the lead.

S4 or DRZ better?

S4 or DRZ better?

See your needs how lor, both make good transport everyday bikes, DRZ prolly cheaper on maintenance, S4s have more power. I dunno abt their future resale values, DRZs tend to cater to younger people. S4s, well almost every father mother son rides them for their 2A. Some even just stay there.

Posted

I find that S4s are very bulky and very short. Shorter than my current bike. Whereas the DRZ is taller lighter, seems more nimble.

Lets say, comparing s4 and drz, bikes of the same age, which is cheaper? It seems like the s4 the resale value is insane. But new then sell a few years, still expensive.

i think s4 will be more expensive if both bikes were to be of same age.

if i am not wrong, drz has a faster pick up rate in terms of 0-100km/h compared to s4. so if you like to have a vehicle with fast pick up it would be drz.

I like light, tall, good pickup, single cyclinder, less moving parts. So is the DRZ for me? But all like so expensive. DRZ put 45l givi box nice not?

Then DRZ is for you, if you want something cheaper, XR4 or if you can, find yourself a WR4.

What is the difference between an XR4 and a WR4? Both 4 stroke and got road tires?

in my opinion, its not nice leh. if you put box it won't look fierce anymore lol

but the exhaust sound of the drz isn't really pleasant imho, s4 has a nicer exhaust sound. sometimes a drz sounds like typical kup kia with aftermarket exhaust

if i were to get a drz, i would be very concerned with the timing for 0-100km/h. i heard its very fast

I don't like short and heavy bikes. I have a bad back you see and everyone is recommending me to get a superfour lol. I like something high, very soft suspension, etc. I was thinking if put box, put those stainless steel box which will look nice on the bike.

Soft or hard can be adjusted. How tall are you btw? And what bike are you currently riding?

bro, get an xr4 for low maintenance. air cooled, so dont need to worry abt radiator/coolant. EO only 1.8l. can put 25l tank, go jb for petrol. only thing is kick start. i tink now can get ard4-5k with relatively new coe. can nvr get that kind of price for drz or wr4.
