I havebeen to almost all our football games played in kallang and i dare say our team at this moment is the BEST i have seen for years!Apart from 94, we haven really have a team as strong as now.

although we haven beat vietnam or indonesia or malaysia, but i guess the win against Laos speaks great volume.

Let us support the Lions to beat arch rivals Thailand in the Final!

when there's a WHEEL...

there's a way...

er ..... i dun thik so ...

good means winning and not on penaties...

winning comfortably

thailand is good

the only thing im glad about is that the average age of our players are coming down..

i see more youngsters in the team...

look at the team last time...fandi + david lee + sundram + malek = more than a 100 years old already!

so its a good sign...

Don't mess with old farts. Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill.

Bullshit and brilliance only come with age and experience.

I still rem one time in malaysia cup , malaysia beaten singapore... And i have such a malaysian frd being scarastic saying the singapore players played lously. Now, singapore has won.. Yet they saying that there is foreign players playing in the group. But who is the one who kicked the winning goal after all? Singapore is better than malaysia in economy , yet suffered a bit in the sports world. Y? Cos singapore dun have Full timer players, yet Malaysia has Full-timers for their sports career. So , in this view, if a PT players can play well in ASEAN games or other competition better a FULL -timers, this really show the capable our players are. Dun u guys agree?

Have to agree..Ahaha..Why Singapore does not excel in sports like our neighbouring countries? Simple..We cannot make a living (career) of the sport (any sport that we love)..Hence the reason why its hard to find new talents..Goal 2010? Ahaha..Wishful thinkin..Also seems like our players get fat headed easily just by winnin a few games here and there..And they get overconfident and think too highly of themselves..They are not in anyway humble IMO..

I have tried to see things from your point of view..But no matter how hard I try..Or what I do..I just can't get my head that far up my butt..

I would really say that Singapore soccer improves if they can compete well against the Thais.

Hopefully all those who are so critical about the national team would still support them wholeheartedly. After all it is OUR national team, not some one else.

If Singaporeans do not support the national team, then do we have to sub contract it to the foreign talents to do it for us?

Come on, forgo what the mind says, go with the heart, it may be wrong but it sure feels right.

Singapore team is made up of full time professional S-League players, some of whom are paid much much more than the Malaysian full timers.

And players from both countries should take heart at the performance of players from Thai and Vietnam who get even half of their monthly salaries.

It's not really about being full timers or highly paid professionals. If a team is good, they're good.

I'm not saying the Lions are totally lousy coz there are good players like Baihakki, the right winger with the bandage, Daniel Benett, Noh Alam Shah (my favourite), Indra. But they are not that good either coz they are so disorganised. Poor passing and too many longshots at goal (which means totally no idea how to get into the box). This can be improved (I think) with more setup practice.

But imo i still feel our S'pore team lack a V.Sundramoorthy or Fandi Ahmad. Players like dem makes us excited thru their skills n brilliant goals. But nonetheless d current team is improving under d stewardship of raddy avramovic. to me he is the man who transform our S'pore team into one which have resilience, discipline, teamwork and unity.. SINGAPORE FOR THE ASEAN CUP!!! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

I think, therefore I am..

but somehow it's better not to have players of Sundram/Fandi calibre coz if there is, the whole favouritism policy will occur again :sian:

if they are out-of-form or not playing well, they will still be in the field and of coz, they will be the ONLY target man. so once the target man being marked down, the rest of the players will sumhow have no idea/ on how to attack.

whereas for now, game play is wide open, from Benett to Mustafic and even to Riduan. that type of open play is makes the opponent unable to predict the game. that will leave more space for our strikers to move forward.

at least now, we have the big Precious as the backbone of the defence (sorry, Aide's fans), reliable Mustafic doing the Keane-job at the centre of midfield and Noh Alam Shah, the opportunist who seems to have found his scoring boots :thumb:

of coz, the rest are playing their part too esp their up-to-standard physical game which had brought worries to our counterparts :bouncefire:

but I think some new faces need more exposure. can really see their "kanchong-ness" when playing in front of some 55,000 demanding fans (of coz i'm included) :D
