Anyone tried the redline or castrol oil from mx tradings? Is it suitable for bikes?

I tried the shaeffer awhile back and it felt really rough. Not sure if it's suitable for bikes.

Yup a lot of good reviews. Abit on the high side at $20 per quart. Maybe might give it a try.

Hi guys, what 2T do y'all recommend for SP? I bought Mobil Gold from LAB for $17. Initially I wanted to get Motul 710 but it was out of stock. I've also heard of rumors of LAB 2T being mixed with smtg else. Not sure how true. Hope to hear from the experienced riders preferably SP riders! Thanks!

I not a 2T bike guy so just my 2 cents.

Look for oil with JASO FD or ISO-L-EGD rating. They are currently the highest standard.

basically 2t oil is mostly base oil mix with solvent and a very small amount of additives that is relatively similar across different brands. So the really big difference is in the base oil.

My guess is all top brand synthetic oil should be just fine for your purpose of day to day usage. Just avoid those true racing 2t like motul 800. oil like mobil racing 2t oil is fine.

i don't think cold start problem in the context of environment temperature is much of a problem for us. even a 20w oil is good till 0C. that quite a big margin of safety for us.

if we are talking about cold start as in starting the engine after leaving it overnight, i think all decent oil give very similar protection. as much as some engine oil companies is telling you thier oil is better due to been synthetic, have ester oils, special additivies or flow faster, that isn't really much proof that is happening.
