There's bike shop in Aussie but the price to pay them to get small stuff done for example changing of gear oil or spark plug could cost over $100, just not worth paying them unless it's major F up.

 

The License system here is different, you can put L plate on your 250CC and below motorcycle and ride it whenever you wish to, once you get a full license, you can ride anything you like.

 

I love to get a bigger bike too, but wouldn't wan to spend too much as I will be leaving in 6 mths time. Big bikes = lose more money down here.

You don't need to know quantum physics to change EO and spark plug..Its very easy actually..If it costs that much just to do such simple tasks..Don't you think its high time you get your hands greasy so you could save more in the long run? No lah, big bike small bike, dirty bike clean bike all flat rate, I use to work in bicycle shop as a mechanic, to service a bicycle, it cost 80 AUD, and same rule apply there, if a customer brings in a super neat and clean bike for service, it only takes 10 mins, if a customer bring in a bike that haven't been ridden for 10 years, bad luck then lol! Not alot of ppl like to service SP down here, heard someone from sydney complaining that the shop won't do up he's bike. Oh well, ppl here rather relax than earn more.

Fully agree I use to ride a Vespa like 8 years back, and my dad thought me how to rip the whole scoot apart cleaning each and every inch. It's real fun and you get to learn lots of stuff and understand how each part works.

Bro, cost of living much higher here, one meal in mel = three meal in sg =\

 

And CPI increase every year, I still remember last time when KOPI increase 10cent in kopitiam, almost every singaporean KPKB, in Aus, the bread 1 year increase 30Cent, pay also dun increase that much sia. Imagine it's not just bread increase, it's all food product increase yearly.

 

One classic example is my uni canteen, 1st there, spring roll sell only 70c, 2nd year 1st sem $1.50, 2nd year 2nd sem $2, 3rd year sem 1 which is now, $2.50.
