childbirth = you have no opinion but to push it out.. so.. that's painful...

one time off.. but I'm having it on a monthly basis.. usually resolved within 1 day.. this time round.. since sunday due today still swollen.. just went to see doctor again.. and the doctor extend another 3 more days mc..

That's bad... did u get ur arcoxia? 😂 or colchicine to help it not get so bad (for next time..?😅)

last time the Dr told my hb he's getting it too often that's why put him on long term medication to control.

hope you get better soon! Do you know what caused it this time round?

1st op was to clean the wound.. they cut away all the affected skin so now my knee 1 big hole now.. tml op they will join back the tendon.. mon's op will cut calf muscle n paste over n do skin grafting..

Yes, they have to take away any foreign objects that would pose a risk of infection. Don’t worry about the “hole” for the time being. The orthopaedic surgeon would likely work on your tendon to make sure that you would regain your functional movement.

I’m sure the plastic surgeon will do a good job for the graft… all you need is the positive spirit to keep towards the direction of recovery!

I’m going to buy a better pair of gloves and an armour jacket now.

Recommend this gloves if budget is not an issue. It kinda is the most practical gloves i've found. It also gives me the confidence if i really fall with all the impact zones for the hand.

For jackets, i've not been able to find a good one yet. But buy MESH ones... those recommended on most youtube may not be suitable for singapore weather. Cause we're wet and hot... I have a few in mind... but really nothing stands out. So drop by the few popular shops and wear them. Do remember... the shop is air conditioned... so everything also feel ok... but once u get out... its 30-38c average daily hahah

Can try the motoburner shop? See whether he has any stock there. Think can find the shop in carousell. He's in paya lebar area.

OHHHHHHHH.. then it could be.. no beef. Ikan bilis.. so I focus on chicken only.. cuz I dun really like fish.. unless cooked by restaurants. LOL..

Mesh - material...

Fox not bad.. but my hands are abit meat-ish... hahahah.. so normal gloves all cannot fit..

Issit like a gastric bypass? One of my hb ex-colleague did something (she never specify) but she did lose a lot of weight after that - like become 1/3 of previous size.

tried all diet before.. failed..

Imagine now.. I'm eating half potion of rice.. + 3 dishes (2 veg 1 meat) for 3 meals daily.. No gravy/curry.. (already on this diet for months) weight still high... 😂

the procedure is something like this... yeah.. that's what I heard.. willl become at least 1/2.. or 1/3 of what you use to be.. but again.. everything comes with a price/risk la.. 🥲

I've had friends of various age (30s-70s)/sizes try IF (intermittent fasting) with good success. Personally, my progress is slow hahahah 😂 but maybe I don't take it seriously enough. 😜

If the Dr thinks it's a good idea then I suppose it's something to consider.

Thanks much for the glove recommendation; I will be going Regina's tomorrow and I was thinking similar to what you posted; do you have a recommendation?

Yes; I am looking for mesh only jacket... you speak really like a experienced rider... I wore my helmet in the shop and it was fine... in my first lesson, the liner was soaked through... but I still love being on the bike...  and fully respect it

erm... that was the recommendation. hahaha for gloves.

As for the lessons, frankly i would say just a t-shirt, cooling jeans and arm sleeves. You're already wearing those guards as protection and at slow speed there should not be any need for more protection imo. You need to be in something more comfortable to be able to learn well. overheating is a bad way of being comfortable haha...

Once u get your own bike then get a mesh jacket in the 100-200 ish to try out how you like it first. There are always some which suits u better than others. Personally i had the knox zephyr and liked it. Can't seem to find it locally now thou... so i just got some xyz brand to make do first... hahaa

What do you think of the brand "Five"? I just want to pick a CE rated glove to put me in good stead while I'm learning... the palms are the first thing that hits the ground and in my work, indexes are really important.. *I use the keyboard a lot 😅

hmmm... Five has some very specialized gloves. Prob quite costly too.

https://www.five-gloves.com/en/company/

Frankly I don't think you should go for those first not so much of cost but because you might not be able to feel the grip well and will have a harder time learning to control your throttle and such with those type of gloves that's full leather and stiffer at the start. I would say at the school level. find a pair of gloves that gives enough protection for the palm and can velcro well. A snug glove is always better. You should try out some gloves to see how they fit on your hands.

Ok, will probably go to Regina's to just try some gloves, looking for those sub $70 for good protection, and of course... to try to learn more than anything else... what a journey! :)
