Hehe, like that Yammy sales will drop chialat-chialat lor I think...cos nobody will buy the new bike. Just buy the exhaust enough already. Yeah, bro. I think your budget is way too low for a R6 or CB6 RR. Unless you get the R6 carb model which is about 7-8K machine.

Don't take offence to what we all are saying. We're merely advising based on your comments. Good luck. :thumb:

Mate, I've said it before, and I'll say it again. You cannot afford to own a Class 2 sports bike.

Squeezing yourself with long loan is only going to make the situation worse. More often than not, you will find yourself in negative equity when it comes time to sell the bike.

Many people fall into this financial trap way too easily. Don't be another statistic.

Past: KDX200, LC4 400, LC4 620, GSXR750WR

Present: CBR900RRY, Gas Gas EC250, XR250L, XR250RV, XR400 (motard-ed), NX650 Dominator

better to "save" him now...then later.....worr.

it dangerous to commit when not knowing what laies ahead.:faint:

assume $200/mth repayment...the bike interest will kill.

touch wood...need to repair fairing or basic like tire/chain/EO etc....all add-up...very siong 1 leh.

and both bike are doing like 18km/L...pump petrol in long run...also not cheap.:sian:

like that i everyday see ppl fly aeroplane i also cannot tahan...

we need to be logical when its coms to these kind of things what..

big bike is never cheap... further more, the bike you want is really expensive.

the most logical thing for you to do is save up. If you go and buy a $13k machine now and slowly pay for 6 years you still are paying more than $200..

it might be possible with your budget but very very hard... hold on to your dream and work towards achieving it...dun rush in to such a decision

Its not about hard you can hit, its about how many times you can take a hit and remain standing

Mate, you seriously need to curb your desires, and learn some financial management skills.

Many people are screwed because they are living beyond their means (big cars, big houses, empty bank account). Do you want to be one of them?

I really want a Ducati 999, and my current salary can easily pay for 1. But I choose to stick with my old CBR 900. Why? because I believe in saving up for rainy days and knowing when to stop indulging.

Using your limited funds to indulge in your dream is not a good idea. Trust me.

i argee with bro ulysses_sc advise lor.

having a RR5 myself...i can honestly tell u with the limited fund u have.u will suffer in long run.

just pumping petrol will hurt ur wallet in long run.not to mention tires etc.

i would suggest u save up & tahan abit more till ur wallet permit.

dun go cruising into cl2 bike & realise u cant feed it after 1yr.

Just do the math.

The machine price of a CBR600 or R6 is about $18,000. That’s machine price, not on-the-road. If you want to only pay $200 a month towards the principal sum, that works out to an installment period of 7 ½ years before you pay off everything. This is without factoring in interest.

On the basis that interest is about 5% per annum simple-interest basis, you will need to pay total interest over 7 ½ years of $6,750. So you’ll actually need to pay S$275 per month.

This does not factor in insurance and road tax every year. Taking insurance at $1,800 per year, and road tax at say $240 per year (for 600cc), you have to pay the equivalent of an additional $170 every month.

That of course still does not include your maintenance and petrol. Let’s say you spend $15 on petrol a week, and every 3 months you service your bike religiously, which would cost you about S$150? That’s an additional $90 per month.

In all, your monthly payments for the next 7 ½ years is:

Installments - $275

Insurance/tax - $170

Petrol/maint - $90

Total: $535 per month / $48,150 over 7 ½ years.

And not forgetting all the little extra things you’ll want to buy like fancy helmet, gloves, sliders etc. and the fact that after a few years, the value of your bike will be about 50%.

What’s probably going to happen is that after 6 months, you will be posting a COI advert in the garage-sales section. Better if you consider getting a good-condition spec 1 super4.

I am selling my 06 R6. Click below. :cheer: . Btw $200 per month installment is hard. Let say u buy a new machine 20k everything OTR. U need to downpay $11500 so per month plus 4%interest 5yrs is 20% so is $204 for 5yrs. But i prefer u get a cheaper machine. Then suffer urself. Some of my friend is suffering by buying a car or bike which they cant afford. Everyday is like eat bread. But still got bread to eat la.

Cheers

if you really cannot tahan...

i give you an alternative... go for the Motorshow...but tomorrow last day ah..

HONDA CBR600 for 16-18k... they absorb COE and give you good installment plan..

Or

Yamaha R6 $20,500... no need deposit 6 yrs installment at 5%. Sommore get free Helmet, jacket, glove and $200 voucher

worth it right...pay $10 go inside see...

you go see the new bikes then sit and try, let the salesman discuss the installment plan with you then you decide you wanna buy not...no need to immediately make decision..can book first

Its not about hard you can hit, its about how many times you can take a hit and remain standing
