Wondering which 2A bike is good other than the common Super 4/ fireblade / rvf.

I believe even super 4 owners at some time dream of another machine...

Why not here? Anyway it's for those with 2A license but dunno which bike to buy larr...So maybe this poll might sway them here and there on which bike to buy. :cheeky:

long term? then its got to be zxr, most of them newer than rest of the sports 400s.

for naked bike, then its the monster.

thats of coz, if "money is no objection" as the poll states...otherwise nighthawk250 will suffice =)

I do believe the RS250 looks out of place when it becomes an item in the poll. Doesn't look justified to be there, considering the topic's subject title and this:

Which is the best 2A bike around, where money is no objection! Be it for transport or pleasure...

It's either transport, or it's for pleasure. Also, pleasure IMO has to be divided into these aspects: touring, track, or show-off bike. All of these require a separate poll.

I guess 2A sport bikes are almost all shagged, like CBR,PGM,GSXR and RS, their era is over unless they have careful owners. I would buy private if I can.

I have go bike shops every now and then, they all looked shagged to mi....

even when money is no object, why still the super 4 series?

mods done:

powerplant device, fuel injector venturis,

underseat cylindrical air filter, bassy stock cans,

super-sensitive in-built gyroscope, inertia-based accelerometer,

streamlined panniers (zero drag),

taped up wires, exposed grounding wires,

TBC mounted, custom tire pressures.

litre bikes watch out! :gun:

Honda CB400 - Fuss free ownership, proven workhorse, parts availability, considerably lower-priced than GSR 400.

Suzuki GSR 400 - Looks, features, some sporty features (upside down forks, slipper clutch, fuel-injected engine, digital display readouts)

EDIT: Please see below for corrections by a fellow member on the features that the GSR400 have. Sorry, have been dozing off lately :sorry:

Eh... how come no Suzuki DRZ400SM???

Reliable and economical bike for transport.

And it is also a great track bike that can be ridden like a scrambler or sportsbike... personal style and preference.

all the DZR400. E, S , SM are very good bikes.

But if TS meant by keeping the bike for long term.

plenty of parts(1st and 2nd hand). cheap and easy maintenance. easy to ride.

enough power and reasonable comfort for touring.

Nice for pillion and daily transport.

Super4 is a good choice.

You can get a verS with renewed COE for $3k+ and a Vtec1 for $5k+.

Very good deal i must say. :thumb:

Slow down abit, smell the air and enjoy the scenery.

Caught the touring bug once again!
