Thats the result of not washing yr bike.

that reminds me of a recent trip, a fellow rider because didnt clean his bike, this black sticky mess actually make the side stand cut off switch goes bonkers, so when kick into 1st gear the bike cut off the engine, thinking that the side stand is still down when in fact it is already up in the riding position.

14km/L is very xiong man!!!!!!!!!!

Like car liao.

I riding the FZS1000, the carb model and the mileage should be ard 17-20.

FZ600 shd fare slightly better.

14km/L. U always cheong?!

Most of my riding is on the expressways. so maybe that will explain abit. But half the time, I carry pillion and I got a box on, so my Fuel Consumption shd actually be better.

My FC ranges actually from 17.5-19km.

depends on how much u ride.. if by 2yrs still got thread still need to change cos ur compund probably crap by then..

BT's need to warm up quite a bit to get good grip but they last longer.

I m referring to the mileage actually, not time.

Someone mentioned 6000miles, which seems rather short to me.

So I am interested in finding how how are you guys faring.

My average mileage is 60km a day.

Any links to the tyre threads?

Thanks.

The main issue with the first batch of gen 2 fz 1 are:

1) water does gets to the fuel tank during rain

2) weak frame / crack frame

3) battery tends to go flat within 1 to 2 year usage.

Every bike has it pro and cons, if you are thinking of upgrading, the darkside advise is

1) dont think

2) dont worry

3) dont bother

4) just buy

5) just order

6) only worry after buying

7) if after buying dont like then sell cheap cheap / exchange

let someone else benefit from it, cant win all the time ya...:thumb:

and after getting the bike,

1) ride more, worry less

2) buy less, ride more

for any translation requirement, please contact brightside representative DaBonz...

ps: errr, dabonz, have i left out any other famous quote huh?

Actaully, shd do the sums before buying.

There are quite of lot of bikes on sale at the Garage, one look at the selling conditions, we will know that it is a hasty buy, in the end have to sell at high prices.

No prizes, many unsold.

Do your sums b4 u commit to a new bike. If cannot afford, then save up 1st. :)

The bike is always there.

i guess riding more on expressway, fc would be betta. the best i got was like 22.56km/L. but riding ard 90-100km/h. ard the same as super4 i guess. fazer 6.. :thumb:

Hit the nail right on the head! :D

Put zero or low downpayment. Forgot to factor in running costs.

Then after year 1, can't afford insurance, road tax, etc.... Forced to sell. But discover to his horror that the market price of the bike is now lower than his instalments owed. Jialat.

Desperately advertise the bike, "Giveaway COI"... because if reloan, confirm total value go over new bike price.

But you calculate the "giveaway" COI price, total also nearly new bike price.

In the end, the bike can't sell. And owner waits for the next idiot in line who also don't have cash on hand... and who also never plan/calculate properly... and transfer the burden and debt over. :D

jokes aside,,,how this thingy goes about?Seriously i just want to know

i mean how the 1st idiot pass his burden and debt to the next bigger idiot?

If you have not settle the amount, how you do a transfer of names? Is there proper document, etc etc..

I heard of those who "take over" the "giveaway" by just adding his name to the insurance policy and he has to finance the remaining loan thru the first idiot name.

Ya la... via the "COI" route as you mentioned. Add sub-rider, buyer pay shope a couple months advanced instalments, then they have a written agreement, and he continues paying for the instalment.

The burden is passed.

Usually the next is also at the same level of idiocy (or greater) than the original idiot. Desperate for a ride he can't afford, he takes a bike that is overpriced and loaded with lots of interest.

The world is round. There's always another sucker around.

what happen if loan payment is not met? the idiot got his bike repo back, lawyers letters i am sure will arrived at the doorstep, but what is the consequences there after?

for some, yes maybe the parents will get involved and paid up the bike in full etc, but what about those who dont have this backup luxury?

If loan default, usually the owner (aka the first owner) wil tio la. How the original owner and the COI-er wanna settle.... up to them and their lawyers.

For the bikeshop, if the owner can't pay up and the bike gets repo.... his guarantor usually bites the bullet.

Power right?
