Hey guys, anyone have any idea what's the price and quality difference between Taiwanese n Japanese Yuasa 11.8Ah battery for fazer1?My Jap Yuasa batt which I bought for 500RM is hospitalised in Lim batt. I've been thinking to get a $50 batt from LAB or $80 Taiwan Yuasa or import lithium batt to try on my ride.Heard lithiums cannot be charged like electrode batt by our rectifier.Any idea?

take the measurements, drill small holes around the designated measurements, cut & trim a bit, then file & file & file till you exhausted and get the correct measurements to fit your switch... :)

the switch box i got it installed not on the handlebar, but somewhere else hidden... if u intending to get it on your handlebar, you got to add in some waterproofing components... :)

actually, there are many many ways you can add in switches for your devices... try going for more meet-up sessions to look at other frns how they do their switches... cus some times, it is more difficult to explain & show you the dos & don'ts in forum jus by being a keyboard warrior... :)

Haha where did u get the file ?? Hmmm so jialat ah any disadvantage when drill switch on fairring ?

actually there's nothing much of disadvantages if you do it correctly... of cus if u over-drill or over-cut or over-file, u would gonna need to do repair or replacement already... hehehe... :D

duplicate the key with coding it. however, you must have the old key with the black plastic part near the new key in order to start the bike.

without the black part containing the decoder, your bike wun be able to start and will show Error 51.

how does it work actually? it totally wont be able to start or it will start but shows an error? cos for example like car transponder, it will start but when u engage gear the engine will die or the car will run for a few meters n stall....

electrical circuitry will be on, but the immobilisers light(red light) will flash. you can crank your engine, but it wouldn't start.

the effect is similar to having your kill-switch switched to ON(meaning you killed the engine).

as per my knowledge...

for bikes that comes with the ignition security system (YISS for yamaha, HISS for honda, KISS for kawasaki, etc etc), there's a chip in the plastic part of the key which 'talks' to the ignition security system of the bike... if the codes tally, then you can start your engine...

you can always buy the key from anywhere, with or without the chip... without chip ones can be found in online webs e.g eBay... with chip ones can be bought mainly from its agent... to get the chip alone from outside, it's usually around S$5-S$10...

honda bikes are said to be currently the easiest to be coded... cus u dun need any master key then u can re-code with a new key... all you need is a new duplicated key & an experienced mechanic and he will be able to re-program it jus by using the bike's ignition security system itself... i've done that on a blackbird before... but that mechanic who did that for me had retired and go back to his hometown in malaysia liao...

on top of that had been discussed earlier by fellow fazerians...

for yammies bike, a little bit tricky here... u can duplicate keys but if you don't have the red master key to re-code the new keys, you can't complete your process... agents from all bike brands will surely tell you that you need to change your whole ignition system for like S$2k right? i asked that before... but there's a workaround for this, disable your igniton security system (it is jus a fricking wire in the main loom) then you can bypass & power up your bike without this function... of cus, if u do this, suggest you to get some other security system e.g alarm...

hope these selections do helps with your problem... :)
