Yes dats the first thing i did.. it seems that there are equal opinions on the preferred size.. just wanted to know which one our local boys prefer..

if u r asking for preferences, i like 190 cus contact surface more when corners.. the rest e.g weight, etc r not under my concern list.. as long i feel safe or safer with that, i'll stick to that.. :)

Buay tahan liao take wave to and fro work + the massive jam at CTE every morning. Very restless take wave. Full throttle until the throttle come out also still same speed.  in Need for Speed....

later u will complain traffic too slow moving, engine too hot.

jam still want to speed meh? relax uh..

i rather take KPE way than CTE anytime in the morning.

someone ever told me, Spain tires are better quality & can withstand better temperatures compared to Thailand tires due to many factors including manufacturing process, climate, quality of rubbers that include the plantation & the re-process, blah blah blah blah..

but, to me, let's not compare between brands/makes la, tires are tires.. PR3 is PRs, be it make from where.. i can use, i happy.. it's the same logic if you use Trojan, Durex, Lifestyles, Beyond Seven, Trustex, inspiral, Kimono, Pleasure Plus, Crown, Ria, Impulse, blah blah blah blah.. u only look at one particular objective.. hahaha.. :D :D :D

Yup. I agree with the parts in red.

but how true to an extent can't really be confirm unless comparing on their production processes, QA checks etc and then test both sets of tires in the same conditions and same model of bike with same rider.

My own opinion.

it's simple bro soulegrafein. use whatever dimension of tyre that came with the bike. there is a reason why those factories in japan spend so much time, effort, and $$$ to research on all these stuff. then when we get the bike, we start changing them and put their efforts to waste. if you talk about tyres, why different bikes have different tyre dimensions is because of weight, purpose, type of bike, and handling ability. so my humble advice is to stick to the dimension that the manufacturers has decided upon unless you decide to change the whole setup of your bike into off-road/racing/stunts/submarine.. etc :)

It's not how fast you ride, but how well you ride.

Hi bros, just entered into fazer family last week.

Can someone assist on some queries i have encountered during riding

- when i throttle up to rpm 5, den extra sound is it the so called "Vtec" coming in?

- dont know whether u guys encounter before, when ur left leg kicking gear, the main stand keep knocking ur heals of ur shoes

- my height ard 165, okie im short :( Any ways to lower my bike?

- what is the normal air intake temperature of fazer, mine is ard 100-110 degrees. Is it normal?

- im a super 4 rider for 5 yrs and feels that fazer is kinda hard to control in turning? Any ways to improve it?

thanks guys,

Appreciate that you all can share your 心得 =)

Anyone tried switching between rear tyre sizes 190 & 180 before?

Any opinions on its effects cornering, weight, fitment issues?

Thanks..

from what i observed regarding fitment, originally 190 should be able to fit 180. originally 180 not necessary able to fit 190.

what pple normally would say, "180 for cornering, 190 for straights."

i prefer to use 180.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

yes.. it's like that.. :) for me, i subconsciously use it as an additional foot rest.. additional surface area.. hahaha.. :D

- my height ard 165, okie im short :( Any ways to lower my bike?

yes.. u can get a lowering link or get a aftermarket suspension with adjustable height..

- what is the normal air intake temperature of fazer, mine is ard 100-110 degrees. Is it normal?

brand new bike? if yes, it's normal.. cus u r still doing running in..

if it's a 2nd hand bike that is over 5k of mileage, it's abnormal.. pls go bike shop check it out..

Yes! Dats my exact sentiments. I just got my fz1 and the previous owner fitted a 180/55 tyres on them.

That makes me ask the question.

Anyways, i found a great article on rear tyre sizes.

http://m.sportrider.com/tech/tires/146_0302_rear_motorcycle_tire/index.html

Do read it before chging tyres

Basically, 190/55 on 6" rims has almost the same profile with 180/55 on 5.5" rims.

Todays literbikes are fitted with wider rims due the the horsepower they produce.

So there u go... i've decided to chg to 190/55 instead..

Thx bro!
